International Trade Brokers \ Who We Are

Allow me an introduction. International Trade Brokers was founded
exclusively by myself John Kennedy (no relation) Fifteen years experience in
Int'l Trade, with the past nine years (86-95) devoted to Export Brokerage.
ITB specializes in Export Brokerage & Market Assessment.

Primary geographic regions of operations are Pacific Rim Countries including
but not limited to
Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong.

Subsequent Countries of interest are, but not limited to
South Africa, India, Brazil, Ireland and Italy.

Countries of future interest
Newly Independent States, Russia, Vietnam and Burma aka Myanmar aka what
ever its name is now.

Remaining countries are assessed on current circumstances and logistical
feasibility.

ITB does not trade in nor arrange transport of; live animals, animal fur,
weapons, hazardous materials or recreational drug paraphernalia.

I first became introduced to the Export \ Import trade while employed
in the Petroleum Industry in 1979. I was working a rotating shift, 30 days
on 30 off, on an oil drilling rig in the Gulf of Thailand. With my thirty
days off I would travel the entire South East Asian Peninsula (SEA)
sightseeing and picking up a few gifts and different types of Handicraft for
friends and family back home in New York City. After sometime I became aware
of the tremendous price differential between SEA and the USA. At that time
16 years ago (I was 21) I fancied myself to be a world class entrepreneur ,
a "Marco Polo" of sorts. I began to seek out the craftsmen and artists that
were creating these beautiful Handicraft and Gift items - to buy large
quantities and ship back to the US. I was only earning $400 - $600 dollars a
trip, hardly the Great Marco Polo I had envisioned, but I learned the
necessary "how to" of Importing and Import promotion.

From 1980 to 1986 I was constantly up grading my methods and product
lines. Then in 1986 with the advent of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong
Kong and China exporting billions of U.S. dollars worth of goods into the
USA I surmised, that in three 3 maybe 4 years these same countries would
develop a vast demand for US made Consumer Goods, due to the fact that said
countries now employed work force were prospering from the Trade Deficit
between them and the U.S. At this point I made the decision to place the
majority my efforts in Exporting from the U.S. Well, so far I haven't
regretted that decision a moment.

About These Pages

The charts graphs and tables presented on this Home Page are tabulated form
more than one source, hence the charts may seem high in one area and low in
others - relative to U.S. and Foreign Gov't trade statistics. I have
averaged out Gov't statistics, private sources and my own records to
determine totals of the charts represented here. I believe my charts to be
far more accurate and practical than other single sources.
