Anger over building on graves in Bulphan Village Church

The following is a transcript of a letter sent to the Essex Thurruck Gazette
by Mr Eric Jiggins. At his request I am posting it here in the hope that
some of you can provide assistance.

The letter appeared as follows

There is an on-going argument regarding the building of a church hall in the
church yard of Bulphan village church.

The building is behind the church, facing the west wing door.

My uncle was buried there in the late 1920s, but I have no written proof.
Several people have informed me that they know there were several graves
there, but again no written proof.

In the 1970s the headstones were removed to the hedgerow at the back of the
church. The man who moved them has passed away, but his son, still living in
the village, confirms that the headstones were moved.

I need written or photographic evidence that there are more people out there
with relations buried in this part of the church yard.

The vicar and the church say there are no graves there, I say there are,
they say I must prove it, Please can you help.

One of those detectors that utility companies use to determine density
variations should be able to be used to help locate the graves.
