Earshot again (spoilers Earshot & The Prom & Go fish & Doppelgängland)

I have watched Earshot a second time tonight. Of course when you do so,
you discover little things that underline what a great episode this really
is.
It struck me that this was the second time that Jonathan was being grilled
by Willow. The first time was in "Go fish". The scene was very similar
which of course was the fun of it. Is it me or does AH look prettier when
she seems in control and when she's not being the insecure child. (That's
probably why I absolutely loved her in "Doppelgängland" as a vampire).
I also liked the way the teacher within Willow surficed when she gave
everybody their assignments. She instructed everybody to use the test
questions. And of course only Oz did (I think). The others gave it their
own interpretations. "Hello, mr whatever, were you planning on killing a
bunch of people tomorrow"? Very funny.
In my earlier post I indicated that I thought that Jonathan using a rifle
with a telescoop to commit suicide wasn't very realistic. However I must
admit it is not too hard to explain. Maybe it was his father's gun who
hunts deer or something.
To support the fact that he really was planning to kill himself and not
someone else here are two observations.
1. When Buffy asked him not to point the gun at her, he immediatelly
complied. Look how he points it away.
2. The telescoop was already fixed to the main part of the gun when he took
it out of the case. Would we have seen him attaching it himself, than this
would have been a major fluke.
When I watched "The Prom" I wondered why they would let a neird like
Jonathan give Buffy the award. I didn't pay much attention to it thought.
Had they aired "Earshot" when they should have, so between "Enemies" and
"Choices", than this would have been obvious. He might even have requested
to be allowed to do it.
So, just a few random remarks about one of the best episode's of S 3.
I'm really looking forward to season 4.
