Well they can't all be edge-of-your-seat material. But this ep had
its charmes. With a few precognitions strategically placed here and
there. But for the rest is was a rerun of Reptile Boy.
Of course Buffy was barking up all the wrong trees, and sometimes
very stupidly so. Barging into a drunk's home and asking him whether
he was planning on beating up his daughter any time soon? Still I
liked the way she got all determined to save the girl. This one was
right up her alley. And I loved how she wasn't able to save her life
in the end. Even in spite of the nifty arrow-catching.
Cassies predictions, will the writers hold to them? Of course they're
vagued up sufficiently as not to gove away too much. Buffy will tell
Spike she loves her. Well I love my cats for instance, so that's not
saying much. But it's progress.
And Buffy is going to make a change. I get that Cassie doesn't mean
in her profession as a counselor, but for the rest this is wide open.
Hey maybe it'll be a change for the worse. Although Cassie's
expression when she said it didn't really imply that.
Willow seems to be making her way back into the Scooby Gang without a
lot of fuss. But not without talks of reconciliation talks with Buffy
(last ep) and Xander. I guess Dawn is up for next ep.
The scene at Tara's grave brought some tears to my eyes. That was
very well done.
What strikes me as strange is that all of the Scooby gang and their
dogs know about the impending Big Brewin' Evil, yet still seem to
adopt a deal-with-it-when-it's-in-your-face strategy. Even Giles
didn't seem to get all too excited when Willow mentioned the very bad
vibes mother Earth was giving. Shouldn't they all be buried in the
books (the i-book in Willow's case)?
Okay I'm done for now. Really should type a review right after
viewing the next time.
