HORRENDOUS cuts on the BBC screening of once more with feeling

Its only half way through and im already annoyed, so far they have removed..

1. Cut out the end of 'I got a feeling' from bunnies to the end.
2. Dawn did not give birth to a Pterradactol

I will post back with other annoying cuts as I spot them.

The BBC should either screen it or leave it alone GRRR ARRGGH !!

They even cut out Dawns annoying but poignent and circular quote from The
Gift
The hardest thing to do in this world is apparently not to live in it
according to the BBC.

I'm pretty sure this was Joss's "short" edit version, rather than a cut
version - but I could be wrong.

Some of the missing scenes would have been due to the 45 minute version
which is I suppose fair enough , but other little bits like the Pterodactyl
seem to have BBC written all over them.

Still , why they can't fit 5 minutes extra into BBC2's schedule is a
mystery.

Especially since they said they would:

Start writing your complaint letters now.

At least I've got it on my hard disc to watch in full unedited 515MB
glory until the DVDs come out.

No, I believe that would be a cut from the 'full' version. I just don't
see how giving birth to a pterodactyl would be cuttable material...
Probably. Was the whole dance sequence cut as well? Because IIRC that
was another one of the items..

I'll say...Sky managed it. As did dutch Telly over here.

Hmm I looked at friday night and according to my TV guide it will be
about 50 minutes, so don`t complain, we know that the thursday version
is cut, it always is.
Now hope that no one dies, for they will certainly scrap buffy like they did
before.

Lets hope Paul and Ringo are feeling okay ;-)

Sorry, very bad taste. George Harrison will be sorely missed, but they could
have cancelled a different programme, or shown the uncut version on a
different night.

Which they do intend to do. Tonight.

515Mb would be a VCD right? You need an SVCD at least before you can
call it "glory".

It's cuttable because it's a stand-alone joke. Lose it and you don't
lose anything from the plot.

No the Pterodactyl quote is not in the short version. Another Joss edit.

They can - just not at 7pm on a Thursday. The long version is tonight.

between a walking skeleton and a kid is, a kid won't eat

I have a lovely 700mb DVD rip Divx file which is super quality if anyone
needs a copy desperately

Just my (second-)favourite line from the whole episode :-(

You're right, of course, if we didn't know that line was there it's
probably not a cut we'd be aware of in terms of resonance, unlike,
say, the opening sequence shot of Tara finding the Lethe's Bramble
under her pillow, which I had to explain to two people at work
yesterday who couldn't fathom if she'd found it or if Willow had given
it to her

Couldn't they have done something with the sound at that section though?
A shorter version of the music, or remove the music entirely and just
have the shot of Tara noticing the Lethe's bramble. Okay, I realise I
know nothing about direction except that wouldn't quite work because its
too short, but there had to be a way to get that shot in there.
