OK, this is quite strange...

Remember a couple of months back? When Joss said, in SFX, that, IIRC,
the Animated Series looked like it just wasn't ever going to happen, or
at least was on hold indefinitely?

Well, in comes this article:

Buffy Toon Due Soon?

Joss Whedon, creator of UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, told syndicated
columnist Marilyn Beck that his moribund Buffy animated series could hit
the airwaves as early as January 2003. Earlier, Whedon had said the
show—which revisits the Scooby Gang during their Sunnydale High School
years—was on hold for a variety of reasons and wouldn't debut until at
least May.

But Beck reported that Fox will premiere the show in January, with Buffy
cast members Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanaz, Seth Green, Nicholas
Brendon and Michelle Trachtenberg voicing characters.

What makes me go 'eh?' is the bit where SMG and DB would be voicing
their own characters. What now? Since when?

Well, we have noticed that Joss is a big fibber when it comes to things'
that are not going to happen etc. ;7)

But what about Alyson Hannigan? Willow just wouldn't be Willow with
a different actor.
