Nerf Herder plays it and its known as the Buffy Theme. Try WinMX or
another file sharing software, normally someone has got it somewhere.

Joss wanted a character that was the complete opposite of your usual
super hero. so he went for a small, thin, blonde girl called Buffy and
wrote her so she kicked ass. and yes this is the reason I didn't watch
it too. If only they had called it 'Slayer' I may well have not had the
confusing time I did have when I was watching three different season at
the same time to catch up.

California

www.buffyguide.com has some good episode guides, or do a search on
google.

Yes

It could be the burning baby fish swimming round your head.
The Buffy Theme, by a band called Nerf Herder. Got rerecorded for the
third (I think) season to tighten it up a bit. Alyson Hannigan (Willow)
introduced Joss Whedon (the creator and god of the show) to the band, it
seems.
Theme is avaliable at http://www.psyche.kn-bremen.de, as well as full
episode transcripts and some shooting scripts.
> 2. Why did they chose Buffy for her name? I think it's the main thing

Because Joss likes it. It's funny, the show's title says it all: it's a
comedy, it's a drama, it's a horror show, all wrapped into one. Buffy is
a victorian english derivation of Elizabeth, apparently, although
Buffy's name seems to just be Buffy. Nothing else.
> 3. Where is Sunnydale?
In California, I think southern, a ways off from LA, 2 hours from Nieman
Marcus, apparently. It's based on Santa Barabara, IIRC, where the show
shoots sometimes. It's not a real place, though.
> 4. Where can I find the story of the first episode?
The very first? The double feature Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest?
Several places. http://www.buffyguide.com is good for ep guides, misc
info, quotes. Beware of spoilers, obviously. Psyche (first link I gave
you) has the full transcripts.
> 5. Is Willow going to became lezbian!?! :-)
Erm...yes.

It's also on the BtVS Soundtrack CD, which it's really worth getting imo.

Erm...no.
I very much doubt she's a lesbian, she's definitely bi though. (Okay, this
might sound picky, but the lack of distinction can get annoying sometimes)

She considers herself 'Gay', in any event. As witnessed by her 'Hello!
Gay now!' in some ep we haven't seen. Does she still 'dig' men? Perhaps.
We don't know. I'll believe her statement; she considers her self a
lesbian, and so will I.
Ignoring the pedantry, yes, your way makes more sense ;-)
Yes she does. She fancied Dracula for one thing. I havent seen clear
indication that she's sworn off men altogether. Saying that she's "gay
now" to me means that she likes both men and women. Gay can be used as a
general expression to indicate that she doesn't necessarily stick to
just men. And it has a nicer ring to it than "Hello, bisexual now". What
I really think is that she herself isn't perfectly clear where she
stands, and at the moment doesn't really care. She knows that she loves
Tara, and that's all she wants to know right now.
Bye, Patrick
So did Xander. Thrall, y'know..

Umm...no. The context it's used in is 'Hello! I'm into Girls now! Duh!'.

Right. So, for now, she's Gay. I'm just being pedantic, BTW. Because
it's, you know, fun.
Xander was hypnotized. He wasn't in awe when he first saw Dracula. Same
reaction would've come from Willow when she had been totally and
completely into girls now.

Used as an argument to prove Anya that Willow wasn't interested in
Xander anymore. Not as a permanent and unconditional statement about her
sexual proclivities.
Fact: she was truly in love with Oz. Did that mean she was permanently
heterosexual and a future relationship with a girl was out of the
question? "Yes" If you'd asked her at the time, "no" when you check the
facts. So why would the fact that she considers herself gay now and
that she is in love with a woman entirely rule out the possibility that
she is bisexual? Because she's older and wiser now? I think it's safe to
say that her current feelings for Tara might bias her judgement of her
sexual preferences.

For now, she's in love with Tara.

Pedantic? I can do that ;P
Bye, Patrick
Duh.

This isn't something where 'facts' have much to do with anything, IMO.
It's a matter of emotion, feelings, etc. Things change and happen, or
there's closets she's inside of.
> So why would the fact that she considers herself gay now and
> that she is in love with a woman entirely rule out the possibility that

It doesn't, and I didn't say that. Willow doesn't consider herself bi at
the moment. At least, she's never said it. She HAS used the word 'gay'
(ie Lesbian) though, so...
> Because she's older and wiser now? I think it's safe to

Most definately. But I'm just trying to bring across that how she feels,
what she views herself as, no matter what the 'proper' definition might
be, is 'Gay', apparently. That she still can 'dig' men, that's more or
less obvious, although Drac aside we haven't really seen any such
incidents.

Yes. And considers herself 'Gay'. She doesn't seem to be even
considering other relationships. This is 'the one', that's the way it's
presented.

We're both good at it, apparently..
:-p
Couldn't resist looking (since I brought it up...)

I can't comment on the context here, but all I know is that Willow
definitely loved Oz and now loves Tara. Which would mean she is capable of
loving both men and women. That is not something you lose halfway. Lesbian
is something that you are, not something you become. If the writers want to
make it seem as if Willow now all of sudden *only* likes girls, because she
is with Tara now, then IMO they are making a mistake.

Gay is a loose enough term. I'll except that ;-)
