Ok heres the reply I got from scott about my comments on buffy #11,
angel #3 and a question about the upcomming anual:

George,
Thanks for a very thoughtful letter. While agree with you on
most
points, I'm surprised with your affection for Hector Gomez's work. Two
bits
of info for now: The main story in the Annual gives Willow a more
significant role than usual in the comics, and the backup has Oz as a
werewolf through most of the story. The horrible art on issue eleven had
to
do with a real emergency situation, in which pages disappeared with a
delinquent member of the creative team, and last minute replacements
were
made necessary. I'm not very happy about the results myself, and yeah,
Giles suffered the most.
Scott

He doesnt actually meantion the whole vamp issue here, but I think that
may be one of the points he agrees on <g>.

Anyways it's a failry good reply when sending in comments to a comic
book, so comments on #12 will definatly go scotts way as well :-)

See Ya,
George

This is what Scott had to say about my points.

Hi Marc,
Haven't we written to each other before? I would've expected more
insight from you than just pointing out likeness and wardrobe differences
between the show and the comic. You actually reviewed this comic book with
subsections on Vampires, Clothing, and, lastly and least critically, Script
(Buffy's line re: Goosebumps is not a pun, it's sarcasm). To tell the
truth, I'm happy to see Joe go too, but for none of the reasons you are.
His storytelling and page design are sloppy, and he's not put as much work
into Buffy as he does his Marvel jobs, because he's more interested in
superhero fight scenes than character interaction. For the same reasons,
I'm very happy to be getting Cliff Richards on board, whose storytelling is
much neater, layouts more readable, and style more expressive. I think
you'll also be happier with his likenesses, but without the benefit of a
fashion consultant, he may not do any better in the wardrobe department
than Joe did. Hope you still stick around.
Best,
Scott

Again as George said, no mention on the clothing or vampire notes. Shame
really.

Scott hated Gomez' artwork and he was ashamed to look at it. So he tells me.
He would like to apologise to all the talented artists like Will Eisner for
having Gomez's art grace the inside and outside of a comic.

Willow gets kidnapped as she did in issue 2.
