Mathew's connect it to Buffy, round 2!

to BTVS or Angel with as short a connection as possible. I'll try to
make them tough this time.
For instance, if I said "The Terminator", you might say that Willow
quoted the film in School Hard, that Xander called Buffy "The
Buffinator" in The Freshman, that Brian Thompson, who acted on Buffy
in 4 eps, was in the film The Terminator, or that Buffy once said Adam
with the Terminator without the bashful charm. Anything that connects
BTVS or Angel with the item mentioned.
You get 1 point for every direct connection, and half a point for an
indirect connection. An indirect connection would be like saying that
Buffy once menioned Dana Scully in The Pack, Dana is a character from
the X-Files, which also starred the guy who played the T1000 in
Terminator II, which was the sequal to The Terminator.
So here is the list:
1. V8 (the drink)
2. Peter Pan (the story)
3. Dezi Arnaz (the actor)
4. Funny Girl (the musical)
5. Aspercreme (the ointment)
6. Flash Gordon (the film serial/movie)
7. ESPN (the network)
8. Titanic (the film)
9. The Love Boat (the tv show)
10. The Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes (the contest)
Double points if you can tell me that common thread to all these
seemingly unrelated items!

In an interview Jason Behr (Ford in "Lie to Me") said that the Tobasco sauce
they eat is actually V8 juice. I think he was referring to Roswell, I didn't
catch what exactly.

Um, the closest thing I found was this random homepage of this girl named
Melissa. Melissa has a lot of interests that aren't very interesting. But
one of her fondest memories was watching her friend Irene pretend to win the
Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes in a fake commercial they made. And
one of her pastimes/hobbies is watching BtVS.

I took uneducated guesses earlier like: "they were commercials
containing/promoting previously mentioned items while you were watching
Buffy" or things foudn on UPN. But I really don't know.

I don't think it was a reference to Roswell.not seeing as Roswell
started in 1999.
I think V8 is a reference to car engines "that sauce is hot enough
that you can use it to run a car"

Nope. "V8" comes from the fact that it's got eight vegetables in it (if you
overlook the fact that the tomato is actually a fruit), it's a drink rather
than a sauce, and it's not hot at all.
