Howdy y'all,
glad I avoided the spoilers for this ep. . .as soon as it
came on the screen, written and directed by Joss Whedon, then I knew it
would be a special ep. The Gentlemen were brilliant, I hope they make
another apperance. . .have there been any other flying demons in Buffy? It
was so weird hearing no voices through the ep though, but a good experiment
nontheless. The scene in the lecture theatre was priceless. . .Buffy doing
her invisible stake mime was great. . .a taste of Joss' humour perhaps.
I liked the way it showed how a whole town could be affected, like the
scenes of praying and looting. . .Its good seeing the Sunnydale authorities
still doing their best to cover up the strangeness.
The Angel ep was allright aswell, quite a good tribute to Doyle, but it was
probably overlooked by the arrival of Wesley. I guess that Doyle was only in
the series for one purpose: to give Cordelia the power to see the images
from the powers that be.
This reminds me of a quote from Joss Whedon:
"People have these insane, ridiculous predictions about whats going to
happen, then you'll read one that's totally right. They'll know every damn
trick you have up your sleeve for next year." Maybe Cordelias power is a
metaphor for the fans who can predict future episode storylines, and the
Powers that Be, are Joss and the producers?
Who knows. . .

I just want to know, didn't the Gentlemen look eerily like that little
cardboard cut out thing that moves across the screen at the end, for the
Mutant Enemy thingy? Or is that just me?

I don't know about that so much, but I thought they looked incredibly
fake at the end when they blew up. Awful way of getting rid of them, I
thought it could have been done a bit more stylishly.

I think the Gentlemen were the coolest adversary's that Buffy has had. The
way they floated down the street with them smiles was very eerie.

Angel was okay. The demon with the bad dress sense could of been better.
Though I am glad my thought at the beginning of the ep. did not happen
I thought he might be a replacement for Doyle) Doyle was a good character
and will be hard to replace though I have a funny feeling we will be seeing
more of Wesley.

They reminded me of nuns :)

I thought it was a great Buffy show with some good laugh out loud moments
esp. Anya's 'finger mime' & I liked the student group.. very like the ones I
came accross in college & Tara is yummy.

However I thought the we need to talk bit at the end was a little
laboured..ooooh now that they can talk they can't communicate....

That Angel show is not worth comment

I don't think it's much of a spoiler to say yes, we will - is it?
