Yeah but its been going a while....I'm sure I'd like it, but I'm not
feeling up to the task of following this series as well *g*

On the issue of secondary characters we finally got to see another one
in the person of amy "the which". Anyways again the art crew fails
because the only reason I knew it was amy was because of buffy calling
her amy and her preforming witchcraft. They even got her hair colour
wrong IIRC...

Anyways I didnt see the photocover this time round, but I'm assuming
they just used another SMG shot...
I've got to say that I loved the cover by Jeff matsuda. I know the
resemblance isnt very good with the actors from the show, but especially
buffy is beatifully drawn with a cool manga feel to it. I dunno why but
this one is probably my favorite art cover on the regular buffy series
so far.

Now the comic itself: buffy still hasnt reached its full potential (but
hey be hounest who expected that??). Furthermore I havent seen giles
drawn this badly in ages. Turn to page 2 and 3...anyone think joe bennet
was still thinking about the 'ol doc when he started on giles? Than the
clothing buffy's wearing (yeah I know....sex with ants and all but
still..). I dont think we ever saw her wearing something like this on
the show and it just isnt buffy IMHO...but thats just a minor irritation
*g*. The most anoying thing though is wondering when they're gonna
decide how vampires look. One of the good points of the show is the
whole game face thing. Somehow I just dont see a normal person changing
into a bat when he puts on his "game body"....not only this but we see
green, purple and grayish brown vamps here.....uhuh, since when do we
have different coloured vamps??. The subplot with the band guy here was
ok and good for a small laugh, but the major plot still doesnt have any
thrills. Lets move on to a better bad guy since this story line is going
nowhere fast.....

The drawn cover for next moth looks great as well btw.....at least thats
improving *g*

Anyways I'm gonna be sending these comments to the comic as well (did
anyone else miss the letterpage this month??) lets hope I get a good
awnser...

See Ya George

Well i'd hurry it ends in around 13 issues and then..no more Preacher.

Yup and not a very good one, it was season three and SMG looked like she was
on drugs in this pic IMO.

Agree with Mastuda statement. He is a great artist and it's nice to know
that his art work will grace many a Buffy cover for months to come. Did you
know he done the covers because he is a major Buffy fan.

Hell not me. I have hope for the book now that Gomez and Bennett are gone
with.

Not since Bennett's last turn on the book at least.

I know how does Bennett get away with this? Joss should be more in control
of the book. He should tell Allie to stop letting the artists draw 6ft
purples bats with turnips for noses as vampires. This comic is taking what's
good about Buffy and pissing all over it.

Well it is a Randy Green cover after all. His Buffy work has been especially
brilliant. Now if only they could get him to do the interior of the book.

Scott Allie will reply he does so to every mail he gets. I think anyway. I
was a bit annoyed with there being no letters col. Maybe they had nothing
but complaints so they couldn't print 'em.

I'll also be sending my review over to Dark Horse. Just to let them have my
two cents.

No I didnt know that *g*.......its kewl though....

I completly agree on bennet, but I still really liked what gomez did in
angel...which is actually my favorite miniseries in buffy so far. Even the
hollower was a kinda cool monster...

LOL :-)

Yeah....I saw you wrote it in your review as well. I'm guessing they'll pay
attention to this problem as long as people keep complaining about it. We know
it *can* be done....look at gomez in the angel miniseries for instance.....there
we dont see all kind of freakish things that are supossed to be vamps...

Indeed....but hey theres no way he could keep up the quality of a cover on the
inside....but after bennet even the people who do southpark would be better
*g*..........

> Scott Allie will reply he does so to every mail he gets. I think anyway.

Indeed....I sent in one message before (asking for less buffy centric photo
covers) and he replied....so I have good hopes of an awnser.....

Hey they have printed complaints before....but there are of course allways
positve mails to balance it all out......

Indeed...they sure as hell wont print it..theres just too much words *g*.....I'm
very interested in the reply to the whole vampire issue though.......

See Ya,
George
