The ABE TOP 10 Chart - June 2001

Hi girls and boys,

Welcome to the Official ABE Top 10 Chart for June 2001. We're
half way through the year. I'll start with that little overview
thingy...

For months we've been predicting that June, with the return of
new episodes on Dutch TV, would finally see a massive increase in
the somewhat disappointing amount of posts here. But somehow,
unfortunately, it hasn't quite happened.

Sure, we've been posting about those episodes, just not in the
massive numbers of posts as we used to. So far, the discussion of
these new seasons on Net5 seems to have been centered more in the
Dutch newsgroup nl.kunst.sf+fantasy, a.k.a. nkSF, or even
ToG[tm]. Partly I think this is because there are some new
viewers there, whom some of us have just persuaded to start
watching the shows, and who are liking them, however persuading
them to actually come over to this ng is asking too much as of
yet, so we have largely tended to just stay over there, much more
than we did last season, S4/S1, when the bulk of our posting was
done here.

Anyway, here's the chart. The themes for this month are
re-entries, and having exactly 8 posts...

You know... I'm thinking, let them be where they are, where it's
reasonably safe and *maybe* the'll be lucky enough to see these beautiful
seasons spoilerfree, unlike most of us :-(((

There are just too many <*censored*> trolls around who seem to love
dropping in here...
