What About the movie: Vampires & the Buffy Movie

John Carpenters Vampires. DIdn't see it, but it was mentioned here a
while back. AFAIK, it has absolutely nothing to do with Buffy in any way
(other than the 'vampires exist' bit, no slayers and the like..)

Lemme guess, you are in holland and watched in Fox, just watched it
myself...in between, they showed trailers/preiveiw/whatever you want to
call it for Angel, but kept saying it was on tuesday. Its on Monday, and
it says so in the guides, Teletext, on the screen...oops, I rambling :-)

The movie has precious little to do with the show, really. Lotsa things;
Buffy is a senior in the movie, she starts out as a sophmore in S1,
Flying vampires, vampires that don't turn to dust, etc. etc. Several web
sites discuss it more deeply (and it has been discussed in the
newsgroups in the past, if I am not mistaken...) JW had no control over
the movie, and it didn't fit his concept, so he went off and made the
show (thank goodness for that...)
IMHO, the movie is a lot worse than the show. Everything moves in slo mo
(except for the "I do flips to reach the doors") and the vampires are
all wimps. I was expecting a little more from the film. Give me a
WTTH/TH or Surpirse/Innocense or Becoming any day....
A little (sort of) cast spot: I thought I saw the girsl who played
Willow in the unaired pilot in one of the early scenes in the movie. I
could be worng though..
