Why do you care so much where this guy posts?
Would it make you happier if he sent the message to each group individually,
instead of all at once? Which newsgroup is appropriate for his post? What
gives you the right to specify?

That is exactly the annoying thing about crossposting. If you want to
talk about Buffy it *could* make sense to crosspost your message because
it is actually on topic in all those groups, but discussions in Usenet
tend to drift off easily to other topics (not that I ever have anything
to do with that...) and since no-one knows in which group everyone is,
the off topic stuff happily flies around the world, wasting bandwith...
And that was my contribution to bandwith waste ;-)
