*** SPOILERS for Angel 1.05. Rm W /A Vu ***

Now we've seen Angel fight some very nasty demons. Most of them very
ugly too. And we know he's been to hell and back. So you would assume
that he's pretty much used to horrible things. But I think what happened
to him in this episode was even beyond his scariest dreams.... I mean,
Cordy as a roommate?

Doyle should think twice before offering her to stay over at his house.
Not that she would take him up on that offer. Thinks are looking down
for a romance between the two of them. Poor Doyle. The shock of horror
when he thought Angel and Cordy had.... it's too upsetting to even type
it. And then there was the demon coming after him to collect money. It's
just one of those days. One of those days you're glad your boss is a 240
year old vampire who can protect you.

Talking about protection, Cordy could certainly use some this episode.
As she was having some arguments with an overly protective ghost-mother.
And an ugly one at that too. Or was it just bad make-up?
Anyway, I loved the way Cordy was prepared to fight for her newfound
casa. That's why I found it a bit strange the way she broke down when
Maude talked into her. I realise she hit some sore spots with Cordelia,
but it was such a sudden change. Just like the way she switched back
into Bitch mode (which I loved) after Maude had said the magic word.
maybe Cordy was 'begeistert'.

Quite a surprise when Cordy all of the sudden started charging the wall
with the lamp stand. And an even bigger surprise to find out what was
buried in the wall. Very creepy indeed. And now phantom Dennis has Cordy
as his new housemate. And Cordy has herself a great appartment. Maybe
she can train Dennis to do some household chores.

Cordy and Angel share the same burden. They both have to work for
redemption for the things they have done in the past. Only Cordy's
redemption comes a bit earlier than Angel's. And that's no big surprise.
It's not like she was on a killing spree in highschool, killing people
in the most cruel and inventive ways. She only gave some kids a fashion
trauma for the rest of their lives [1].

Kate was more than willing to help Angel find some info on the house.
She nearly fainted when Angel came close to her to read the screen. And
I think he had showered that morning, so it's either his bad breath or
Kate thinks he's a big jummy chunk of a hunk. Relationship angst on the
way?

Bye, Patrick

[1] But she deserves to burn in hell eternally if Willow suffers any
permanent consequences of Cordy's treatment.
