Incredible. Still no comments on Halloween?

What can I say... Is it just my imagination, or is this episode
really much better than the garbage that was the end of season
3? I can't find anything wrong with it. (Yes I can: we didn't
see enough of Spike.) It even had a proper epilogue. The style
of storytelling was somehow different between season 2 and 3.
Can't put my finger on it. Season two is just superb, with a few
lows. Season 3 has a few excellent episodes, but overall... is
it over-produced or something? Season 2 is about people (and
demons). Season 3 is about TV stars.

Is there anything better than a natural disaster? The panic. The
people lost in the streets. It's like picking fruit off the vine.

I didn't have time to comment earlier. I liked the ep, but I thought
SMG's acting was a bit over the top, it didn't impress me. I especially
mean the scene in the library, talking with Giles, while Willow was sneaking
in. And maybe one or two other scenes as well. I will know for shure
after I watched a second time (probably on monday).

On a whole I don't agree. Accept compared with Graduation 2 (of which I
didn't like the last 15 minutes or so).

The main storyline is much more important in S3. In S2 there were more
independent eps with only minor repercussions to the (less obvious) main
story. The last eps of S3 cannot be watched or judged independently.
Mainly they work towards the end of the story.
Is that a good or bad thing ? I liked it, maybe you didn't. So be it.
Thank God we all have different opinions or else there wouldn't be much use
for this NG. :->

She didn't act great, especially her role as 18th century noble
woman was unconvincing. But that didn't bother me very much. SMG
isn't a very good actress (unlike e.g. Juliet Landau), so I
don't expect more of her. The overall story was great, and
Buffy's part was, well... only a part of the story.

The main story-lines in S2 were very important too. Perhaps it
didn't stand out as much because in S3 the arcs were more
contrived. It all felt more `natural' in S2.

You see that? The way she stakes him with that thing? That's
what's called resourceful.
