Well, what can I say? Angel is in it's best season to
date. The first 8 episodes all score high on my
personal meter and the balance, atmosphere is of the
good. Allready this season has develloped a strong and
enticing storyarc which is supported by some damned
good episodes. Tonoghts episode sort of breaks away
from that main storyline, but keeps with this season's
main themes. It's executed greatly and while it's not a
storyline episode it is by no means a stand alone. Lots
of character development swinging around and more than
a few good scenes. Cinematically Angel is one of the
best shows on tv. The cutscenes, the angles, the close
ups, the music, the lighting, the wardrobe. Everything
is top-notch. Something I noticed again this episode.
Buffy might be my favorite show again, purely because I
like the lighter-yet still dramatic-atmosphere and
because it ís after all the parent show I fell in love
with. But Angel is getting damned close. It's a tight
call which season is better objectively, but I think
Angel just about wins by a noselength. Greatness all
around...

See Ya,
George
