Well, Angel premiered on Channel 4 in the UK yesterday, so I
guess `City of...' is now officially spoiler free in this
newsgroup according to the rules we made up (right?).

Unfortunately, as feared, C4's showing of Angel in a 6.00pm
timeslot (with no plans for any late-night repeats à la BBC2) has
proved to be a bit of a farce, with the cuts totalling close to
one and a half minutes in this pilot episode. These cuts are
reportedly far worse than anything the BBC has ever done on BtVS,
and actually interfere with narrative structure and continuity.
Considering the content of this episode compared to some of those
which are to come, this situation seems only likely to get worse.
See Stephen Walker's report of the cuts over in umtb:

No. Sorry, wrong there. AFAIK, Buffy is spoilerfree with the BBC as the
dividing line, but Angel has yet to air in France, to my knowledge. Its
supposed to start eventually, (re: this month) but I don't think it has
yet. Considering we get some posters from France in here, I think we
should keep Angel eps as Spoilers for a while longer.

Ouch...I pity them, and I guess they should start bombarding C4 with
some major complaints. The cutting will probably get worse before it
gets any better, though, I agree completely. 3 cheers for liberla
countries like Holland! Yay!

My bad. I had a feeling I was talking crap there. Going by C4 was
just one of our initial ideas for Angel spoilers, but of course
there are probably other countries which are futher behind.
Actually, with BBC TWO starting BtVS season 4 on the 28th, will
they still be the furthest behind on the Buffy side of things?
When does S4 start in France. It was supposed to be around this
month too, I thought, has it started yet? And how are they gonna
be for both-shows-on-the-same-channel and/or synciness?

There's a petition at <http://www.petitiononline.com/Angel/>,
they've already got over 350 sigs.

Right. Question is, do we have any posters/lurkers from those countries?

Buffy S4 kicked off this past saturday, IIRC, with "The Freshman" and
"Living Conditions". They show 2 eps per week. Wonder if they'll
actually beat us to the season finale this way? I can't be bothered to
extrpolate it though..

And no, France is as screwy as holland, with TF 1 (which is, strangely,
private, not public.) airing that show. When, I don't know.

I'd add my sig, but its sorta pointless coming from me ;-)
