I loved it!!! I totally loved it. Cordy back (the *real* Cordy)! That's
all I ever wanted ;) It totally felt season 3-ish again but boohoohoo now
she's dead :-((( Ok people have been know to come back from death, but
still, it's not likely she'll be back in a hurry [1]. And now Lindsey is
gone too! Boohoo some more. OK so we did get plenty of Lindsey goodness
this week (mmmmmmmmmmmmmm) so I really shouldn't complain and it's not
like he's dead... he just got sucked into a hole and people have been
known to come back from holes, but still.

But it was all good. I'm still drying my eyes here. The remembering of
Doyle was very very good (damn I'm getting all choked up again here), and
the storyline of Cordy got a nice - mystical - ending, and so did
Lindsey's. I was half expecting to see Angel and Cordy visit Connor but I
can't say I really missed him.

Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did, but she did
it backwards and in high heels.

Yeah, pretty good.

One thing that struck me was that in order for Spike to play a Mario game
(sounded like Donkey Kong) on his Xbox he must have chipped it. I wonder if
that was a deliberate extremely subtle gag, or just the usual props
department not getting it right thing that befalls games in TV and movies.

The latter, I suspect. :-)

On a side note, they completely blew the "gag" of this scene where we
cut to Spike;s face in close-up making some kind of threat, and then
pull back to reveal he's playing a computer game. The gag doesn't
really work if you can hear computer game noises in the background!

(Not that it was funny - it's a very over-used trick on Buffy and
Angel, but still, they could at least have tried! <g>)

I've been lurking a bit, but I just have to say that I totally agree
with you. In the beginning of this season I feared that this would
become the Spike show.... I seriously thought about quitting this show
(just as I did with Enterprise). But I am very glad that I kept on
watching. Excellent writing, excellent acting.

LOL :) When I saw Lindsey like that I thought you would be glued to the
TV ;)

The last 4 minutes I tried to fight back the tears, but when Cordy said
'just one for the road' I couldn't hold back any longer. Oh my goodness
that look on Angels face when he realised that she was really gone....
oh here we go again, where are the tissues. He just has no luck with the
women he loves doesn't he. He's back on track (and so is the show) and
lets see where Joss and the rest of the gang are taking us!!! I have
faith again :)

you'll never find a beer so brown as the one we drink in our home town!
You can keep your fancy ales, you can drink them by the flagon, but the
only brew for the brave and true, comes from the Green Dragon!"
