Seen this?

From: www.scifi.com:

"Despite rumblings that next season will be Buffy the Vampire Slayer's
last, executive producer Marti Noxon told SCI FI Wire that she thinks an
eighth season of the UPN show is likely, even though its star's contract
expires after season seven. "I think that it's very likely there will be
[a season eight]," Noxon said in an interview. "I'm not sure if Sarah
[Michelle Gellar] will come back or not, but it's really up to UPN and
20th Century Fox if the franchise continues. It would be very hard to
continue the show without her, but they might try." "

Careful if you go to that website, there are spoilers there for Season 7
and well, um, I couldn't help myself... :-/ but I'm glad I read them. Now
I'm even more anxious to seeing S7 so reading spoilers is actually a Good
Thing!

Yes, seen it. Note that this would very, very likely be sans Joss
Whedon. Practically confirmed by the likes of David Fury. And Joss
himself, more or less, IIRC, but as usual I'm too damn lazy to actually
go look up quotes for ya.

BAD Saskia! BAD!

Anyway, 'spoilers' as in script details or character sketches/info given
by writers and actors? Which is bad enough, mind, but not 'ain't it
cool' levels of evil badness.

:P

well if it's going to be without Sarah I'm not watching it. "Dawn The
Vampire Slayer"? I don't think so...

A spoiler is a spoiler IMO, there are no 'good' spoilers and the AiC
spoilers are not to be taken seriously anyway. Like I said, I read the
ones on scifi.com, given away by the actors.

Nah. Doubtful. I'll probably still watch it, but with mucho trepidation.
But, well, ask me again in a years time.

Oh, yes they are. They had the entireity of 'Bargaining' and the whole
of 'Heartthrob' down to the letter, 'cept for the bits that weren't in
the script, by mid-July. Ain't it Cool has a mole somewhere, a source
that should be located by ME and fired, stat. Because it's evil.

Ah. That kind. Lemme put it this way: I read Joss interviews. Just
because.

I think if they were going to run with the format without SMG they would
be best off doing a Star Trek and having a whole new cast and location -
but based around the same premise and set in the same MEverse. I have
said elsewhere - I'd quite like to see a period version "Vampire
Slayer" - with guest appearances from Boreanez/Benz/Masters/Landau etc.

Well, to a large extent spoilers this far ahead ain't really spoilers.
Everything is still subject to change.....
