Oh my god! That ending!! Oh my god...

Erm. Hmm. You know what, I don't really feel like going into the whole thing
right now after all. I just wanted to shout Oh my god really :)

More later. Or perhaps I'll wait for someone else to start for a change.

Erm....the Buffy thing? Nice, wasn't it? *sigh* why does it have to be
so that it'll probably all happen off screen?

Just for that? Oookaay...

Perhaps. Here goes nothing, then. Just finished watching, so no
all-too-coherent thoughts or anything, I'll jump right into the deep
end.

In any event, 'Carpe Noctem', ep 4 of Angel. Was it good? Quite. Amusing
and touching at times, well put together, nice little idea. Was it
speldinferous? Nah. Workmanlike, I guess. Overall, it failed to tickle
me like any of the previous three did.

Few notes: Lilah, Angel, smoochies. Ooookaaaay......and uh, Gavin Park?
Gawd. I'm bored of his approach already. Bureaucracy is Evil[tm]. Very
much so. Cordelia: good, as usual, still had a sore throat. I'm guessing
they shot these eps in the production number order (ie, this is ep 4,
previous ep was ep 2, ep 2 was ep 3...geddit?) because, well, because.

The story itself was rather simple, really, and to me, a means to
explore the meaning of love and living some more. Plus, Fred! Fred nice.
I like Fred. She babbles a little much, but she's cute. I like Fred. And
she likes Angel. And Angel's blind (what else is new?) Our octagenarian
spellcaster wasn't all that frightening, really, more strange and
off-putting. DB acting non-angel-y was loads of fun to look at, plenty
of laughs to be had there, although most were of the predictable
variety; however, despite that, they didn't bore, weren't annoying.
Delivery was spot on, basically, so....

But again, as said, no big button-pusher, this here ep. I need a
rewatch. I'm not sure what to think of it, exactly (the fact I'm dead
tired doesn't help, mind you..)

Oh, and BTW, niiiiiice encode. Thanks Sas :o)

Sending shivers up my spine! No hope for crossovers, but these sort of
references are just as good or possibly even better. They just mention
that Buffy is back and the fans can fill in the rest. I doubt that
they'll talk about it much on Angel.

And it was a nice ep as well. After the body switching (it's that simple
huh?) I thought it was going to be a pretty lame ep. But as the story
developed I really started to feel how serious and dangerous the
situation was. Angel not even being able to escape was very unnerving.

I wonder whether Laila will ever do Angel a favor again :) Somewhat
surprising that she succumbed to his advances. Now she'll probably try
to destroy him with fiery vengeance.

Bye, Patrick
