Last time I asked net5 about the show it was still undecided (whatever that

Did you ask what they're doing with Buffy when the next television-
season starts? I'd really hate it if they cut S3 short, like they did
on SBS.

Nope..didn't ask that yet, but I'll be sending out an e-mail to net5 again
probably sometime this week, so I'll keep you posted :)

Or get the BBC to broadcast.

What are you trying to say? Don't send the e-mail till september 1st?? Oh and
why don't you get someone to tape buffy for you? Leiden had to wait a month as
well before we got it, but a friend from rotterdam taped it for me. Try to get
someone to do the same for you. If you havent had net5 at all and dint catch any
buffy in the time it has aired, I'm sorry to say you've missed all the major
buffy plot developments in s2 and even the beginning of s3. I think it will be
hard to follow the storyline if you haven't seen anything after the dark age and
come in september 1st (when we're somewhere in the end of s3). The only thing I
can tell you is to either get your hands on some tapes of the missing eps, hope
the bbc broadcasts the eps you've missed (although they won't be uncut if they
keep em on at 6:45), get your hands on downloadable realplayer versions of the
missing episodes (e-mail me about that and I'll see what I can do for you) or
read the transcripts of the episodes ( http://www.slayerfanfic.com/ ). Other
than that there's not much more I can say. The chances of net5 repeating
everything you've missed are slim to say the least and frankly I don't hope that
happens (for obvious reasons).

Here you mean continue to broadcast probably. The bbc *will* continue to air
buffy somewhere in the fall although the exact date isn't known yet. The only
problem here is that if the rest of s2 is aired in the same timeslot that it was
aired in before the pause buffy will probably be cut very badly (the series gets
darker as s2 progresses).

See Ya,

I believe the BBC is still ahead, so I haven't missed that much yet.

Very promising. But you're tone of writing might have been a bit less
sarcastic.

Uhmm...you're wrong there....the bbc left of somewhere in the beginning of s2
and we're currently in s3 on net5, so the bbc's waaaaaaay behind net5.

Promising? You're talking about the darker bit right? You mean I was being
sarcastic in my reply?? I didn't intend to be..if it was to you I'm sorry :)
See Ya,
George
Did you tape 'em all? And if so, can I purchase a copy of the tapes?

The darker the better ;-)
And yes, your original reply sounded a bit like a flame towards me, but no
harm done.

Yes I have 'em all on tape, but as far as the copy thing goes : I don't have the
equipment to do any copies and I don't have the time to copy all the tapes at a
few people I know who *do* have the equipment (sorry). Your best bet would be to
go to a tapetrading list (ask around they are there, but I'm not sure where).
Furthermore if you have an acceptable conection speed you could download the
episodes in realplayer format (I have the links to a few sites, but since it's
illegal to give out these epies for download you'll have to e-mail me personally
if you want 'em). Last but not least you could read the transcripts of the
episodes (I used to do that when sbs6 stopped airing buffy and its a good way to
keep up to date).
As far as asking around to purchase tapes I can only give you one tip : never
*buy* tapes. If anyone is asking more than the price of the tapes plus postage
costs you shouldn't buy them, because they're ripping you off. On the net
there's more than enough people willing to do copies for free or trade for other
tapes..

Gladness :) And I'm guessing you'll love the rest of s2 if you like buffy dark
:)
