I think that the last four episodes listed for disc 4 are actually on
disc 5 and that Becoming 1+2 are on disc 6. So does that mean that
both Becoming 1 & 2 will have an audio commentary?
Reggie
A little too far off, and looking at it, although the extra's, etc. look
tasty, it's partly crap. Auido commentaries on seperate disc? Oh, and
lets not forget 8 eps on one disc. Yeah, right. Maybe if it's a 7 disc
set, it looks good. I'm hoping it's more or less true (as the S1 listing
was, long before anyone else had it showing..) though..

Ridiculous 8 episodes on one disc situation.

Right. Same as S1

It's says 4 eps. I'm hoping that Passion, Becoming and S/I get the
commentary. Maybe WML. Who knows, though? It's very much a rumor for
now, as far as I'm concerned..I'm hoping it's 7 disc set with number 7
as an extra feature disc, like I understand the X-Files set is..

You don't make stuff like this up (OK, so I'm in a naive mood:)),
and they were right on the money last time, so I'm guessing
that's just a small cock-up. As Reggie said, they most likely
mean 5x4 eps and the last 2 eps on disc 6 plus plenty of room for
extras, with no need for a 7th six (if your accepting the policy
of cramming 4 eps on a disc, that is :-P [ducks]).

Yes, but remember The X-Files has 24 episodes, so the first 6
discs are filled with those and they really need an additional
disc to do any serious extra's. Season 2 even has 25 eps, with
the last one together with the extras on disc 7. Buffy's 22-ep
seasons should fit fine on 6 disc sets, as the last one would
then only contain two, leaving room for a good 90-minutes' worth
of extras (again, if you accepting the policy of cramming 4-eps
on a disc... ;-))

Ditto, except I'm rehashing myself. How sad is that?

Geez... cool down, will you? It's probably only a typo or layout
error, what do those guys know.
Perhaps it should read like this:
DISC 4 - Surprise; Innocence; Phases; Bewitched, Bothered and
Bewildered;
DISC 5 - Passion; Killed By Death; I Only Have Eyes For You; Go Fish
DISC 6 - Becoming Part 1; Becoming Part 2
Added value:
4 audio commentaries
"Designing Buffy" featurette
"A Buffy Bestiary" featurette
Original scripts
Gallery of set designs & monsters
Updated cast bios
Trailer/TV spots
"Watcher's Guide"
Makes a lot more sense, does it? Now the commentaries can go on disc 4
and 6 (guess which episodes), and the other extras on disc 6, and
we're all happy. :-)
Reggie
Don't take me too seriouly, BTW. I'm not really worked up about it, and
it looks verrry interesting, I just think it's a little early to say. I
hope the specials are correct this time (though I still want a good copy
of that unaired Pilot!!), since they look good. ;o)
Anyway, I'd think people who run a DVD mailorder ste do know that
putting 8 eps on one disc is a little over the top. I'd hope they know,
anyway...
BTW, why place an order already, if it's months away? Likely as not the
UK version will be released at the same time and get to you sooner. (if
you did order already.)

That makes sense.

No, not quite happy. We *need* (well, wish for) commentaries on disc 5.
First ep on Disc 5, to be specific. And Disc 6. And disc 4. We'll
probably get some on earlier disks (Dark Age or Halloween if those other
rumors are any guide..) We'll have to impatiently wait and see, I
guess...;o)

A bit before, certainly with that one-week delay the UK R2
release got at the end. R4 came out sometime in November.
Though the dates are of course very much rumours at this point,
it looks like Australia may be a couple of weeks ahead again with
the S2 box (May 2 / May 28).
