Annoying? That is weird. Well, if you think Willow is the
highlight of BtVS, then Farscape is not for you. Farscape has
Real Women -- Aeryn, Zhaan and Chiana are more sexy than any of
those girly-girls. And Real Man. And Real Other Thingies. But
you have to give it a few episodes to get to know the
characters, because this *is* a character show.
Seriously, don't let the stunning special effects fool you.
Underneath it's a very strong, gritty, and imaginative drama.
When Buffy kills someone it is justified with the excuse that
the one she killed wasn't human after all. No such excuses in
Farscape, when Zhaan killed one of her own kind. Or the crew in
a frenzy of self-interest dismembering there pilot (though the
pilot is of a species that regrows its members), doesn't sound
like a nice, Disney-type of family show. If you think Buffy is
fun because it keeps you on edge, does the unsuspected, try
Farscape.
> So when is it exactly?? Tonight?
Yes! Must Watch! The first episode of S2. S1 ended last week
with Family Ties, an ep with a bunch of very emotional
cliff-hangers. If you cried over Becoming 2, you would have
cried over Family Ties.
And please come to umtsf, we need more Dutch people to spice
things up a bit.

You know, big guy, I think we ought to... give you a little time
alone here, because I know in a universe this vast, when two
hearts collide...

Yes, well, the setting was strange, I didn't get any of the storylines,
so *I* was annoyed. I didn't mean to say the show was annoying by
nature.....

Hmm......I'll ignore that comment ;-) There must be at least some people
who watch both Buffy and Farscape and who are Willow fans as well ;-)

Hmm......I'll just wait and see I guess ;-)

Like with any good show......

I most definatly will tonight. That is, if my pesky exam learning
doesn't get in the way of watching it live. Otherwise I'll have to tape
it......

Hmm, interesting...
I hope we'll get s1 repeats soonish than (that is, if I take a liking to
the show). Any place with episode summaries one might go to to catch up
with the past eps?

I'm afraid my newsserver doesn't carry umtsf (weird, that....).
Ah well, once I've watched the ep (either today or some other time this
week) I'll be posting what I thought of it over in nksf....
See Ya,
George
Who's wondering if he'll like this Farscape as much as Peter obviously
does.....
