We see Angel deal with the fallout of the events in
"Dear Boy". He's trying to deal with that, and Angel
goes to see "The Host" (does this guy even *have* a
name?). He, in turn, sends him to a swami guy. But the
real swami guy is dead and there's a (pretty
convincing) new swami guy in his place. Now this guy is
trying to get Angel in to touch with his "inner demon".
Hmm. Sounds like Wolfram&Hart to me. Thankfully Angels
finally figures it out and hooks the guy. Litteraly.
Ouch.
Anyway, the heart of this episode is Wesley posing as
Angel. This leads to some great and funny scenes. But
more surprisingly, Welsey is actually a pretty good
Angel. Apart from the whole getting involved with the
girl you're supposed to rescue thing. What makes this
role reversal so great is the fact that the story is a
basic "damsell in distress" type thing, only now it
features Wesley.
Also, the girl, pretty cool. Hoping to see more of her
(preferably in combination with our favourite rogue
demon hunter) in the future. Of course she feels sorta
betrayed when she finds out he is not Angel. But hey,
she gets over that when he saves her from being
sacrificed by her father (how's that for fatherly
love?) to the godess Yeska.
All in all "Guise will be Guise" is a really fun
episode. Enjoyable all the way, funny and with a solid
story.
If I'd have to give it a grade (and I will ;-)) I'd
give it a 7/10. Good solid fun.
See Ya,
George
