Ok, now I know most of you people here don't know and I
know at least Mattia wants to know as well....

But here's the question: Does *anyone* know what series
Buffy's first season replaced?
I mean we all know that Buffy was a midseason
replacement and all, but to *what* show? It bugs me
that I don't know that small bit of Buffy trivia....

So anyone out there who knows? Please? :-)

See Ya,
George

Ah. Right. You know I was actually wondering about that again today?
Weird....did you try a net search?

Yep. One little post in rec.arts.tv, and a quick response was had. Buffy
was a mid-season replacement for another show that (seemingly) was a
mid-season replacement the year before:

Savannah

Show had 2 seasons, first one 12 eps long, second a full 22. Haven't
looked at any fan sites (Yahoo seems to be having problems, Maybe it's
my ISP, and I'm too lazy to use another engine/web directory) but
anyway. Soap opera kind of thing, I think. 2 links:

Yes! That's a brilliant idea! Let's try a net search!

Good work, Mattia. I remember wondering about this very question
myself a while ago, doing net searches and all, but to no avail.
I think I eventually gave up looking for the answer. Isn't Usenet
a wonderful thing?

It most certainly is. Great little system, if I may say so myself.
Thumbs up to that long forgotten (Well, by me anyway) student who
invented it back in 1979 (IIRC, that is...I'm too lazy to look it up.
I've done my bit ;-)
