It's obvious from what I've heard from some of you that the protest against
FOX's persecution of fan sites didn't have the desired effect. Soooooo......
Instead of blacking out the Buffy sites, perhaps we should consider OVER
DOING IT! As in, setting up so many websites with stuff FOX has a beef with,
that those jokers will crack! I mean, let's be honest. Setting up a website
with all these "Free 10, 20, 50, 100 MBs of web space" companies is so easy,
it's damn near scary. I say, if the bums don't acknowledge our silence,
bring in the Horns of Jericho and play us some Blitzkrieg Bop. Just set up
so many freaking websites of Buffy, Angel, X Files, and whatever else FOX
has in their library and overload their ass! Forget doing the Great Buffy
Fansite Black-Out. It's time for the Great Buffy Fansite Shout-Out! Blow
their lawyers' minds with so much illegal websites, they'll either cave in
or shut down the whole frigging Net. (And you know how tough THAT could be.)
If the jerks shut down a site, set up somewhere else. We have the Zip
Drives. We have the technology. We have the skills. Hell, all we need is the
balls and the nerve to use them and those punks will understand, once and
for all, that WE the fans support their little habits and WE the fans can
starve their ass!
Anyone second the motion or am I talking out of my butt here?

Mr Burns: "I suggest you leave immediately."
Homer: "Or what?" "You'll release the dogs or bees or the dogs with bees in
there mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you?"
Mr Burns: "Smither, release the robotic Richard Simmons?"

Yes, because, as is well known, congressmen are just chomping at the bit
to anger the entertainment industry and weaken copyright and trademark
law in order to please the fairly small number of people, scattered
across the US, that would be willing to cast their vote on this issue.
I'd think putting some of the money that goes into Variety ads into
campaign war-chests might have a better effect, but that's me.
