Few notes...
Darla's kid is (a) abnormal, and (b) Angel's.
W&H are up to something.
And Gunn thinks they'd get in trouble if Wes talked more about dicks.
Or Dongs. *g* Ohhh, the slasher in me is so happy...
and damn is it hard to type with a snake on my arms...

I'll say....and again with the annoying tiny snippet at the end of the
ep thing! I'm wondering if this was always meant to be in the second
episode (this was supposed to be ep 3, with next week's ep being ep two,
but hey..)
> W&H are up to something.
You don't say. And where have I seen that Gavin Park guy before?
> And Gunn thinks they'd get in trouble if Wes talked more about dicks.

Heheheheh.....
> and damn is it hard to type with a snake on my arms...
Errrmm.......right.
Anyway, a few more notes. Episode was, IMO, interesting, had some really
great funny ("Hi, I'm Skip.") and touching moments, and so on, but
still. It might just be me, but I feel that the writing is a teensy tiny
bit 'off' at times, as if Jeff hasn't *quite* gotten a grip on the
characters. Then he shines with bits of really inspired writing, though,
so overall, good thing..
What do I think of the ep? Dunno. Still not uber-thrilling stuff, but
there's a rising tension going on here, and not only on the 'Darla'
front. Arciness in the making, so that's good, and plenty of darkness
(was it me, my encode, or was this ep lit a lot more 'darkly' than
'Heartthrob'?
What kind of ep is it? Character building. Using things that will
(undoubtedly) be used in the future as arc to further the whole
Cordelia-has-bad-visions thing. Oh, but, uh, wait. They're not quite
that bad after all. It's fake vision city here, and this kind's worse.
doens't make what happened to Cordy any easier to bear, or any better
for her in the short run, but it does mean the seeming 'acceleration' of
the 'Visions-BAD' thing hasn't really happened. Ah well...:-)
So, what do I really think of this one? Not bad, not by a long shot. Fun
stuff in here, but overall the plot isn't too exciting. The Cordy stuff
is nicely done, the group dynamic there is touching, the 'family' feel
(I guess that was last year's theme for Buffy, possibly this year's for
Angel ;-) but then you had the rather silly 'Dungeons & Dragons' quest
thing to get that guy out (BTW, Skip looked really cool...) The for me
obvious comparison would be with 'The Trial', and it's lacking that
episode's desperation and darker edge (even if you factor out the wholly
different endings..)
Anyway, I'm rambling, my notes are incoherent, so I'll shut up now.

That is scary stuff! Rosemary's baby? The Omen? Exorcist? Ick... Oh and
damn. It's not Lindsey's :-(

Extremely annoying

Star Trek!! It was driving me nuts too so I looked him up, the only thing I
know him from is Voyager's "Blink of an Eye" which was on tv not too long
ago. He was on ER as well. http://us.imdb.com/Name?Dae+Kim,+Daniel

I *loved* that whole 'hi' thing :)))

I don't know about Jeff and never paid much attention to who wrote what, but
I did have a little trouble staying focused. Could also be because I was
tired.

I had trouble sometimes, figuring out what's what. Also because the refresh
rate of my tv can't keep up with it (or something). And the sound wasn't too
good either on my cd (cooki3).
> What kind of ep is it? Character building.
Who's? Only Fred maybe. I didn't really see anything in this ep apart from a
tiny little bit of arcish stuff. Oh and way too much fighting (hate that).
Darn... forgot to pay attention to the socks. Now I'll have to watch it
again. But first Enterprise! Oh yeah and Buffy :-O

Gah and gah again.

Indeedy.

Possibly. Haven't seen that much Voyager, but I've seen a whole lot more
than I think I've seen, apparently..Possibly saw him in the one ep of
Crusade I've seen...

Disturbing...

Hehe...lovely. Really lovely.

Possibly. And so was I, mind you, but I think some of it was a little
clumsy...

No, it's just the encode, Sas. Nothing to do with your refresh rate,
unfortunately. The Sound didn't bother me at all, to be honest, sounded
fine to me, but hey, encode of an ep with lots of darkness, so, I mean,
not the easiest thing to do. This said, I've seen better.

Heh..yes, the whole D&D thing. Character featuring, I meant. Cordy. We
were dealing with the whole vision issue, and with the 'what does Cordy
mean to the gang' things. Bad choice of words on my part, perhaps. And,
yes, some change in Fred. Still not quite jelling in there, not quite
yet..
> Darn... forgot to pay attention to the socks. Now I'll have to watch it

Um...Sas? Socks are a DB thing, not an Angel thing. Apparently.
We'll maybe find out?

What, the W&H lawyer guy? Dunno where you know him from, but (a) he's
been on Angel before [same character; Over the Rainbow, ep 2.20], and
(b) I know him from Crusade. (Matheson / Daniel Dae Kim)

Well, it *is*. Especially since he's fascinated with my computer.

*g* More coherent than mine would've been. If I had any.

Okay, so, lessee, everyone here loves the tiny-snippet-at-the-end...
check, move on...

Creeeeepy. Though I'm glad the shaman guy [y'know, the one with the
exposed pulsating brain] is dead.

He's in pretty much every ep of Crusade. *g* Not every, but, y'know.
Main character and all. Probably on a par with Wes, castwise. And I
don't watch that much Voyager, or ER.

Yes, and oi! Ramses is very nice. :P
And I've been quite careful not to burble on about him.

*snerk* Yeah, loved that.
Perhaps. Or I'll ask Tim over on UMTA, or something...don't feel like
going to ATA, since it's probably a hell-hole by now :-)

that's probably it..and duh, we've seen him on Angel before, but that
wasn't the point...

Coool. Is it an albino snake?

Heh.
Maybe it's *also* Lindsey's. I mean, Liam in E:FC had two fathers, so why
not the vamp baby?

Oh. I like it. And normally, I'm easily annoyed. :)

Nice ep, BTW.
:)
Andrea!
If it is a Vampire....Darla seemed to imply this sort of thing isn't
supposed to happen. Weirdness going on here, that's for sure..

Annoyed in the sense 'aargh! we want more!!' Of course, we know it's
better for us this way, but this has precious little to do with logic
and rationality.
> <snip rest>

Quite. Funny, at times clumsy (first time writer, so forgivable. One
with a bright future, if this ep is any indication. I think. For the
funny, most definately..)
