Well, lets see..

We've got a quickly growing story, and Marc is *already* on page 6 of
his who knows how many (many is good! :), and we agreed there would be a
second round (maybe even more, but that's jumping the gun.)

So, same order? New victims want to sing up? Saskia? Dru and Spike are
there, and we know you can write. I'm definately game for another
installment, BTW. So my name's there. Furthermore, what kind of
timeframe do we want to give it? I'd say about a week is good, and
unless someone indicates they're too damn busy, in which case we either
extend the time or skip him or her for the time being. Like the nkSF
kettingverhaal worked, more or less, people aye-ing or nay-ing they're
writing slots.

What do you think? I'm taking names, new ones welcome. Join the fun!
Unlce Abe wants You!

Oh, and uh, new: You get the StoryMeister[tm] title until the next
istallment arrives. And so forth. Yay! Our second roaming title!

Well - I think there's enough to make the world spin around and around and
around; there's a lot that can happen if decided that there is a round
more... but don't push it! - Keep a maximum in mind otherwise we get bored,
or the story get's too big to keep under control... working on a 'big' story
is something you should every day, so you know what your up against and how
every little detail is in your head...
If you can find say, two others, who want to join (and the chain gets
longer) I think there's only one round left, if there's nobody, perhaps 2
round more.. but that's it... I think we're pushing it 'cause writing fanfic
is new to most of us (right?) - but hey... living on the edge is fun :o)

> So, same order?

Sure - if possible I like the wrap it up and put a "The End" on the
bottom...

A week is fine by me, but then again... I write fast... If you told me I had
two days I would manage (I think) - I luuuuuv the pressure ;)

Very very true..it kind of depends on how much people write in the
second write (and since the tendency seems to be more and more, well,
fewer rounds is more likely than more rounds.)

:o)

It's gonig well so far, I think, bt you're right, I don't think we have
more than one round left. In this story anyway. As you said, I don't
think any of us have written 'real' buffy fanfic before. P@rick's done
silly funny Buffy stuff, George does columns, I'm not quite sure what
your experience is, and I, um, ramble a lot. And I got good grades in
english. And I read plenty. That's about it. ATM I'm giving a read to a
Buffy Fanfic that's really more of a Novel (250 odd pages or more..)
It's on the transcripts site. Pretty dark stuff in the beginning.

OK. You're a the end of the list. Any more takers?

Yes indeed! It's fun, it's a safe place to post (I'm not gonna get
flamed, any criticism is bound to be of a constructinve rather than
destructive nature. You know, helpful.) and I can experiment with styles
(I'm already thinking of how I'll write the next isntallment. I guess in
a similar fashion to how I wrote the last one, perhaps a bit more
descriptive writing and internal dialogue. Unless it's a big action
sequence again, where that doesn't work well. Or at least, I can't write
it well. ;-)

Hehe...you're like that, huh? If you gave me a week, I'd start a day or
two before the due date. That's how I write my papers and study for my
exams, anyway. That, or start early and finish early. A week it is then.
Also keeps things moving a little faster, and faster is better, I think.

I try. I often fail, but occasinally I come up with a decent parody.

Hehe..

So, you're at the bottom of the list right now..George? And where is
P@rick, anyway? He hasn't posted anything since...well, yesterday around
one thirty. Hmmm. Anyone else? (non europeans may apply as well ;-)

I'll join in for a second round. But with the option of a nay. I'm
rather busy atm, so I can't promise anything. But I enjoy it enough to
try.

Bye, Patrick

I'm game. Not sure if I can write anything soonish (feeling a flue atack
coming on, judging by the way my head and muscles hurt and all ;-)), but I'd
definatly like to try. That introduction wasn't much yet. And I fear at
writing diologue. I like descriptive writing (you know, WOT-style only not
on the same level of excelence) more. I suck at dialogue. Oh well, I mostly
suck at storytelling as well, so we'll just see how it turns out :-)

Ooh. Yuck. That sucks. Get better 'n stuff like that. BTW, those CDs?
<hint hint hint>

It's hard, requires rewrites, several, and serious thought, but it's not
impossible. Just watch a lot of S2 to get back into it :o)

> I like descriptive writing (you know, WOT-style only not

I like it, but I think it's difficult to do. Oh, and BTW, hate to burst
your bubble, but Robert Jordan doesn't write very well. He tells a great
story, but stylistically and technically it's incredibly simplistic.
Lots of recurring cliches. I think it was pretty decent early on, but he
gets worse in the later books. Had to adjust big time after reading
George RR Martin's 'Song of Ice and Fire'. That man can write. It's a
close call between that and LotR for first place in my fave Fantasy
list...Of you can get the storytelling similar to Jordan (before he lost
his sense of direction. Marc had a point, let's limit the length..)
you've got a winner though.

> I suck at dialogue. Oh well, I mostly

Aw, it can't be that bad, George...Write it, let it rest, go back to it
and don't be afraid to shift things around. Read other fanfic, it helped
me a little bit (though I didn't use much of it. It didn't work for what
I was shooting for.)

BTW, is the dutch FanFic in the FC mag any good? Reason I haven't read
it, well, it's in Dutch, which is wrong on so many levels ;-)

Well, lets see..with Marc the magic speedwriter person guy, we've now
gotta figure out who is next: George is sick, so no, Marc just did his
bit, so no, P@rick is busy atm, so, umm, no..I could get started after
the weekend, no problem. Sunday probably (and write it in one go) but
I'd rather give someone else a chance first.

Hmm...oh Miiir :o)

You know, um, Ethan Rayne just showed up in the story, and stuff. And
it's dark and agnsty-ish, or getting there...wanna join in? Or are you
also too busy?

We shall have to see...

I myself am going to give everything a better readthrough, absorb all
the various details we've managed to generate, and start thinking, just
in case...

Phew... it looks like the pace may be about to slow down here...
I might even be able to catch up on old posts...

I would say it's a good idea. Let's let this rest for a while (week or
so? Or until someone responds..) and then we'll decide who gets to do
the next bit. BTW, wasn't there a second version of this story? Where
did that go?

Okidoki. Go for it, your up next then ('cause I've been recently and the
others are all busy or sick or something.) After the weekend is just
fine, BTW. <plug> You can also read the whole thing, nicely formatted
and (hopefully) well spellchecked on the abe website, at
http://bite.to/abe </plug> Admittedly I'm a little bisaed since I wrote
a decent chunk of it myself, but I think it's going pretty damn well.
