It's the old story again. I was watching an old ep on tape when I noticed
something. And because most of us still have to wait for some new eps I
thought I'd keep people awake with a question.
Like I said this is for those fans who have seen every episode a zillion
times or possibly Dutch sportsfans.

In which episode can you see a Dutch exchange student wearing an orange
Adidas sportsshirt. He is very visible on the backround during a lengthy
scene featuring (almost) all major characters.
(Okay, I made the part up about him being a Dutch exchange student. He is
just some guy).

It is probably a silly question, but it wasn't the kind of shirt I would
imagine someone other than a Dutch person would wear, so I noticed it.
Another excuse ? I have been ill for the last three plus weeks, so I have
had way too much time on my hands sitting at home.

So, does anybody know the answer ? Probably not, huh. :-)

If that's the case it's probably "dead Man's Party"...

Well, with a hint like that it's a bit like kicking in an open door.
You're right of course.
I am curious thought, does the lack of reactions mean that it actually was
too difficult or should I hide for a few weeks for insulting everybody with
a stupid question like that ?
Hmmmmmm, I'm afraid I know the answer to that one myself.

Bye, Rob

You know the first question (without a hint) was impossible to
answer... My initial reaction was that it must have been one of
the episodes of Season II, stomething like "Reptile Boy"...

Ok, the question to you in which episode one can spot someone
wearing something like PSV t-shirt?

<thinks hard> Um. No. Sorry. I'm bad at ep titles plus I don't like soccer.
:))))

And Rob, don't worry if nobody replies. I do like these sort of questions,
it's just that there are so many people around who are way better at the
answers than I am, so I usually don't bother.

That's easy. Doppelgängerland. In the Bronze, in the
back....................................................

............................................................................
.....................................................................
.................Okay, I'm guessing. Plus I think you're only joking.
Like I said, it's probably just me noticing an orange shirt because I am
somewhat strange in that respect.
Many times I only like to watch a certain sport when our (Dutch) national
team is playing. Other times I couldn't care less.
So I don't blame you for not noticing something trivial like that.
Although in my defence I have to say that when you watch the scene, you will
notice that the orange shirt is visible most of the time.
By the way, I mean the scene when Buffy has just ran downstairs after being
accused by Willow and Joyce that she would want to run away again. She is
standing in the livingroom. Joyce and Xander are confronting her with her
(in their view) antisocial behaviour. At the end of the scene Willow says
something like : "okay, let's try violance". And the zombies crash
through the window.
Something to pass the time while we're waiting and waiting and waiting for
season four.

Well, as you would probably guess it's not a soccer thing, it's a male
chauvinist pig thing.
Hmmmmmm, that didn't come out right. It's a "see a shirt in our national
color in an unusual place and notice it", thing.

It's nice of you to say that. Sometimes you think you're posting "for the
cat's private parts". Especially when it's about something trivial like
this. I have a look at this NG several times a week and when there is not
much going on, I have the urge to try to wake some people up.
And yes, I also like these silly questions.
To me a newsgroup like this is more than just talking about a tv show you
like. It's an excuse to think about things very different than every day
life. Trivial, unimportant things. And also a way to practice your
English penmanship. So when you don't have anything intelligent to add to
the group. Just add anything. As long as it's entertaining.
So, I really liked it when Big Ron Gunson made a fool out of himself and
gave us an opportunity to thrash him. Idiots like that are such easy
targets it's almost a crime to take advantage of it.
(Let's try again). Hum, hum (innocent sounding voice) say, what an
impressive name. People will really think you are intelligent and
important with a name like that. I think I will change mine too.

Bye, Big Rob Pistolson. (Yes, that's not at all pathetic).

Perhaps you could start a quiz. What are your favourite
characters? What are your least favourite characters? What are
your favourite scenes of your favourite characters? (mind the
spoilers) Funniest script inconsistency? Most under-appreciated
support role? Most obscure insider reference?

That kind of thing.

Just wanted to state my support for that plan : so go ahead rob ,
dazzle[*] us with your knowledge and your questions (and although that
sounded sarcastic let me point out that it *wasn't*)

* This was officialy the first time I used the word dazzle. I think I
like it...I'm gonna use it more often :-)

See Ya,
George
