Hi Europe, and indeed all, and a very warm welcome to the first
edition of the all new Official ABE Top 10 Chart.

We've been running this chart as a top 20 for the best part of
last year, and the bottom half of it was always a bit messy, with
lots of tied positions and crap, sometimes only 4 or 5 posts
being necessary to obtain a place. I've decided the new year is a
good time to put and end to all that, and tidy things up a bit by
streamlining the chart down to a nice, spiffy little top 10 list!
Apologies to Miriam Rocke, who would have been at number 11, and
all the others I have cut off here, but I think this is for the
best.

We had a total of 731 posts (660 non-crossposted) to the group
this January, compared to 670 (642) in December 2000.

So here's the chart, and get a load of Mattia's lead this time...

Ooh...changes. Must update website. Tonight, maybe. I've got an examn,
and a pretty bad cold, been sleeping like shit, I'm gussing I'm gonna
collapse as soon as I get back in around noon.

Very true..was it still the case? Hmm...I guess it was...

Wohoo! Well, that does make things a little simpler, doesn't it?

Agreed.

That's a pretty decent amount, considering there's been nothing really
new on TV. Fanfic and Quizzes keeping us busy..

What? Is it that huge? I wouldn't have said it myself..

Hehe...um..yeah. I see your point. That's possibly my largest lead
(percentagewise) to date. Not numerically. September was 317, August
239, oh and 357 in May 2k. Percentagewise it does look big (and my reply
rate to non-crossposts is roughly around the 30% mark.) Still less than
you posted in ToG..

;-)

Nice to see a number of off-and-on lurkers and relative newbies and
off-and-on "I'm gone, now I'm back" regulars from the days of yore in
the list :o)
