Buffy DVD

From a recent Whedon interview:

TWW: Much as we love the videos, the fans are hungering for DVDs! How
are things progressing there?

JW: DVDs are planned. We are doing the first season first and they are
talking to me about doing interviews and commentaries and stuff. That is
just getting off the ground.

TWW: What sort of stuff would you like to do? What do you think are the
opportunities there to make use of the format?

JW: Well I think about doing great long rambling commentaries: "That
director is so bad we had to cut around that!" I don't know if they want
me to do cut scenes. I am not big on revisionist history or directors
cuts - the show that we put out is pretty much the show we want seen.

Looks like good news eh?

Hope so...still doesn't give release dates though. Read the interview,
pretty interesting if a little spoilery at times (although I had already
been spoiled for all of the stuff in there by reading headers in the UK
ng...) Really hope they do the Widescreen thing too (see Jonathan and
his little thread over in UTMB for more details..)

Wow, thanks for promoting my thread, Mattia! I was going to point to
it here myself, but you've saved me the trouble. It's called "Buffy
DVDs, widescreen?" and is crossposted to uk.media.tv.buffy-v-slayer
and uk.media.dvd. If it does well there I'm hoping to direct a movie
based on it. I'm already in preliminary negotiations for that with
Surise Studios in the States. Most likely I won't be acting in it,
thought directing myself was pushing it a bit for my first project,
but the way things are looking at the moment, my part will probably
be played by Marc Blucas.

Sorry, got a bit carried away :-P
