Angel - Blind Date (5x5 review)

Yay! Faith appears on Angel!!
But it's not the Faith we know... this is a blind Faith.
So we had to take that title literally. Does it really take a blind woman to
go out on a date with Wesley? Blind and deaf would have been better. Then
she wouldn't have to endure Wesley's embarrassing slip-ups like "you look
good, Faith" and "watch your step". Lucky for Wesley she didn't return the
favor with a "get out of my sight". No, Faith was a forgiving person: "I
don't see why you would have to apologize Wesley".
I never expected Cordelia to get so emotional over Wesley going on a date
with another woman. I thought the crying scene in her toilet was beautiful.
Of course I should have known that she was just crying over that Versace
dress on sale that she missed out on. But still, the emotions were sincere
enough.
Wesley should have know that Faith wasn't dating him for his looks.
Actually, she was dating him for his sight. Leaving him behind after a night
of blinding passion. Ok, normally that would have worked. Wesley would never
have found Faith by herself. But luckily for Wesley, Angel had a pretty good
idea where to look for her. And luckily for Angel, she loved to watch the
sunset instead of sunrise. Cordy wasn't much of a consolation with her
"Well, at least you won't have to look at yourself in the mirror each
morning". Wesley didn't look that bad when he woke up. Well... actually he
did. But I mean that his appearance..... oh you know what I'm talking about!
Well, Faith never saw Angel coming. So I guess it was all for nothing. Maybe
Wesley was a bit disappointed that getting his sight back from Faith didn't
entail another night of eyepopping sex. I mean, Faith was quite a looker. A
bit tragic that it's back to blind Faith again. I felt a bit sorry for her,
and I understand why she did it, given her powers. Maybe she can work out
some sort of sightsharing deal with someone. Maybe someone who thinks he has
seen it all.
