So much for equal opportunity. One of my nieces kicked out the back of a
police car when she was 8 months pregnant. If someone gets pregnant I see no
reason to send her home. That my friends would probably promote more
effective uses of birth control than any other punishment.

I can certainly see what the Major General is trying to accomplish
and I sympathise with him but I think he's seeing this all wrong.
He needs to see the big picture and change the order to make it
so that pregnancy and having an infant child is no reason to
leave the theatre or the unit. Imagine how much stronger America
will be when children are raised in warrior culture from birth.
Body armour could be designed to allow breastfeeding and to fit
women in late pregnancy. Little helmets could be developed. You
want a position defended? Put a mom with a baby in there.
