For some reason this was the cartoon that made me queasy rather than the
bungee jumping one.

Best wishes

That is interesting to me. Maybe it's because it could really happen?

Sort of related: Although not bungy jumping, in her book, Sarah Palin talks
about kayaking hard on the 4th of July so one of her kids would be born on
that day. But it came the next day. She wanted a patriotic baby.

Here's hoping she was pregnant at the time. Otherwise it sounds a bit too
voodoo...

(Watching the TRU TV "Bait Car" Show in which
officers plant cars so creeps will steal them and get caught)

How about the couple here in Austin who called the police because an
unknown car had been parked unlocked in front of their house for four
days? The cops said it was legally parked, there was nothing they could
do. So the couple decides to look inside the car, see if they can find
out who owns it and, of course, they get BUSTED FOR BREAKING INTO AN
UNLOCKED CAR! Yes, it was a police decoy.

The case was thrown out of court. After almost two years of screwin'
with the legal system, and spending bunches of bucks on lawyers.

Windows down, keys in ignition. Wouldn't *you* investigate?

What I was proposing was a creepy contest.
Post a creepy idea or link.

If the cops were clever they would have left an audio recording in the
trunk of some girl screaming, "Let me out! Let me out!" I bet they could
catch a lot more potential car thiefs that way.

(And the cop interviewed suggested they sometimes leave the bait cars
running...!)

"Master Bait Car" Show: officers plant Narwhal horn dildos in
cars so that creeps will steal them and get IMPALED.

The Cincinnati cops have a car that can be immobilized when someone
steals it but cutting the ignition and locking the doors. On a humorous
note, when they bag a car thief, they turn on the the radio which plays
the theme from "Cops" - bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha
gonna do when they come for you?

Car thieves in Cincy usually get a few months county time, if that. The
joke is that if you commit manslaughter on Short North, you'll do three
years.
