OOOOoooo!!! Black Holes!!! I want one!!!

Ubi dubium ibi libertas
Is Eartha Kitt still alive?
No, but I bet we could sell millions of black holes
in those snow-ball things for $4.99 ea.
gahhhh
SORRY (giggle)
Personally I'd prefer a back hoe.

May Shai-Hulud clear the path before you.
I knew it! If the hem of my kilt starts to move away from
me it will be my cue to run in the opposite direction.
OOOH, let's do a whole series of apocalyptic snow-globes!
Black: all the snow disappears into a black hole
created by a vortex when you shake the glode.
Comet: instead of shaking the globe you have a comet held
to the top with a magnet and when you remove the magnet
it drops onto the earth kicking up a snowstorm.
Giant solar flare: okay, I'm at a loss here...
Heh....like you COULD run away. Time would be better
spent with your "Health-o-meter."
Hmm, you have a point there. I shall remember to be in
water when the black hole comes, because I can swim like
a fish. (I hope the health-o-meter is water-resistant)
if the {front} hem of your kilt starts to tent away from you
you are already headed in the right direction
ZN ;D
jubilation for no reason owned by no one
One of the rednecks near where I used to live had a hand-painted sign
advertising "Back Hole Work".
I saw him one day in the front yard, using a pressure-washer on his
extremely large tool...

Sadly I've never needed more than a waterpick...
Speaking of holes and language corruption, have you noticed
how "fire in the hold" has become "fire in the hole"?
Hmm. I thought "fire in the hole" was a miner's expression. Watch any
auto racing? Back in the 60's, cars used to come down "pit row"; now
they come down "pit road".
Let's googlefight!
"Fire in the hole": 490,000
"Fire in the hold": 9,780
see also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_in_the_hole
No wiki entry for "hold".
"pit row": 77,600
"pit road": 406,000
Hmm, again. Interestingly, there's evidently a radio show called "On
Pit Row" http://onpitrow.com/, and another racing blog called "On Pit
Road" http://www.onpitroad.com/ . I'm gonna email a couple of old
buddies who might be able to shine some light on this one. One of them
has even written a book.
DT
Ooh! And presumably they can both read too? :) I'd bet five bucks
that the original is "pit row".
I'm certain that "fire in the hold" is the original expression. See
if they can weigh in on that as well.
A fire in the hold is the worst thing.

It's like when the clerk at the doughnut shop says "two dolla
sixtee cent". He means sixteen cents but won't mind if you give
him sixty cents.
whilst on about black holes...
