The pissing contest between Apple and Microsoft continues,
with no resolution in sight.
I noticed in the "How White Am I" app that there is a significant
difference the White Face of Microsoft versus the White Face
of Apple.
I had run into a similar situation a few years back, when I added
the 'Oriental Wisdom' section to WokeWisdom, and discovered
an emoji and HTML code for the Tibetan OM symbol, which I
used for the link to that app.
The Microsoft version is a basic, no-nonsense line drawing of it,
but when I brought it up on my iPhone, it was this huge (and
admittedly beautiful) keyboard key-like thing.
The same thing has happened with the faces. Here are the three
symbols, and how they appear will depend on the device you are
viewing them... ☻ ☺ 🕉
Here they all are in a side-by-side comparison...

So, I, of course, have some complaints. Apparently Apple does not
have a black-and-white line drawing of a white face that is comparable
to its version of a black face. So you can't have alternating versions
that are similar in size and design (if you needed such a thing).
Also, Apple's white face is not white. It's yellow. That could be
problematic when a white white-face is needed.
ALSO, look carefully at the two black faces. The Microsoft version is
a simple inversion of the white face - white for black and black for
white.
The Apple version of the black face looks kind of doofus-y. Big,
close-set eyes and a sloppy grin. I'm not sure what the message
is here, or even if there is a message.
But the pissing contest continues.
