Christian Hip-Hop artist Marz has seen and experienced a lot of things

Marz’s story starts in 1970 in a country that was previously called
Yugoslavia. He was born to a Croatian Catholic mother and a Bosnian
Muslim father. Since then, the country has become a series of smaller
countries after war tore it apart. A young Zlatko Hukic (Marz), along
with his family left the country when he was eight and they became
immigrants living in Chicago, Illinois. From that early age, he was
exposed to a lot of the perils of the city. It was the late 70s, early
80s, and drugs and gangs were running rampant in the city.

Today the phrase "to open Pandora's box" means to perform an action that
may seem small or innocent, but that turns out to have severely
detrimental and far-reaching negative consequences.
In classical Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on earth as
being the equivalent to the Hebrew Torah tradition of Eve as the Mother
of all living. Zeus ordered Hephaestus to create her. So he did, using
water and earth. The gods endowed her with many gifts: Athena clothed
her, Aphrodite gave her beauty, Apollo gave her musical ability, and
Hermes gave her speech.
According to Hesiod, when Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took
vengeance by presenting Pandora to Prometheus' brother Epimetheus.
Pandora opens a jar containing death and many other evils which were
released into the world. She hastens to close the container, but the
whole contents had escaped except for one thing that lay at the bottom –
Elpis (usually translated "Hope", though it could also mean "Expectation").
ETYMOLOGY OF THE "BOX"
The original Greek word was 'pithos', which is a large jar, sometimes as
large as a small person (Diogenes of Sinope was said to have slept in
one). It was used for storage of wine, oil, grain or other provisions,
or, ritually, as a container for a human body for burying. In the case
of Pandora, this jar may have been made of clay for use as storage as in
the usual sense, or of metal, such as bronze, as an unbreakable prison.
The mistranslation of pithos is usually attributed to the 16th century
humanist Erasmus of Rotterdam who translated Hesiod's tale of Pandora
into Latin. Erasmus rendered pithos as the Greek pyxis, meaning "box".

Originally mostly used by women to hold cosmetics, trinkets or
jewellery, surviving pyxides are mostly Greek pottery, but especially in
later periods may be in wood, metal, ivory, or other materials. The name
derived from Corinthian boxes made of wood from the tree puksos
(boxwood), that also came with covers. The shape of the vessel can be
traced in pottery back to the Protogeometric period in Athens, however
the Athenian pyxis has various shapes itself. At first, the two
varieties of pyxis included the pointed and the flat-bottomed. The
pointed pyxis didn't last much longer than the ninth century BCE, while
the flat-bottomed continued into the late Geometric. It also continued
to grow larger and more squat in proportions. The cover often depicts
elaborately sculpted handles and the walls tend to be somewhat convex.
During the sixth century BCE, however, Athens began producing boxes with
concave walls that enabled them to be grasped easily when ranged close
together on a shelf. Compare the waisted shape of the medieval and Early
Modern albarello. Images on the pyxis usually depict the marriage
procession from a young girl's house to that of her new husband.
Pyx is a term for a specifically liturgical box, usually cylindrical,
but of variable design, still used for holding and transporting
consecrated hosts in the traditional Christian churches, a use to which

parliament since Federation”.
When the Central Table for the new Parliament House was commissioned, a
pair of sandglasses was included in the brief by the Parliament amongst
other items, such as bronze brackets to support the Mace, pigeon hole
book stands, digital clocks, call bells and microphones.
“A stand with a wooden base and green felt underneath for the
sandglasses was purpose built for the Clerk’s desk within the Chamber,”
Baker said. “In 1998, a new stand and glasses were designed and
manufactured to accommodate an additional sandglass.”
