Pumpkin Bread
Yield 22 Loaves
Ingredients
4 lb Brown sugar
4 lb Sugar
2 lb Shortening
1 can Pumpkin, #10 can
2 tbsp Vanilla extract
4 tbsp Cinnamon
2 tbsp Ginger
2 tsp Cloves
2 tsp Nutmeg
4 cups Oil
3 1/2 lb Egg
4 cups Water
11 lb Flour
4 tbsp Baking soda
1 tbsp Baking soda
4 tsp Baking powder
2 tbsp Salt
cream sugars and shortening. add pumpkin and mix until incorporated.
slowly add oil until incorporated. add beaten egg until blended.
slowly add water, then extract and spices.
add dry ingredients in 3 stages, scraping the bowl each time. Mix one
more time for one minute.
bake at 350 for 55 minutes.
