I thought it might be useful to explain my comment about sh*t not happening
in my kitchen. I try out new recipes all the time and experiment a lot,
but bread is my favourite. When something doesn't work, I go at it and I
will work on it until I have been successful. I never give up, no matter
how long it takes, but I don't consider that to be sh*t. I delight in
learning and if that is by some kind person teaching me then that is
brilliant, but mostly it is just me working away trying to get things
right:) So, I suppose sh*t does happen, but I don't view it that way. It
is just another opportunity to learn. I am the same in rl too, but the
kitchen is best:) I hope I never know everything:))

So, hubris? Maybe, but I hope not.

Isn't that a little like putting a P.S. at the bottom of a letter: "If you
don't get this, tell me and I'll resend it."?

lol.

Barry

(Sorry, couldn't resist.)

What I was referring to was things like two loave. Cut from the same batch
of dougb. Same weight. Same pans or on the same tiles. Baked together.
Shifted a couple of times to equalize baking. EVERYTHING THE SAME!!!

One gets good oven spring, the other doesn't.

As the Profit said, "Go figure."

From the 'same batch' and treated the same??? You must have done
'something' different???

Hmmm, well, if not... the bread fairies are messing with you :)
