The single most dangerous thing your children will ever face is money. Money,
more importantly bad money habits from childhood, causes more divorce and
bankruptcy filings than any other thing. Money and feelings of inadequacy
from not having money cause more school and gang violence than ever before. It
causes drug and alcohol abuse in adults, and it is the number one reason
illegal drugs and handguns are sold. Not understanding simple money concepts
is a major cause of the destruction of the American family today.

By teaching young children money management skills before they are exposed to
spending money, parents can lay the foundation for a long, happy and
financially responsible life for their children. Good parents teach their
children about dangerous things before their children are ever exposed to
them.
Ask yourself these questions:
How old are most children when they are first exposed to spending money?
How old are they when we teach them how to manage it responsibly?
