Follow up to Monsoon?

tie in with When The Lion Feeds?
When the Lion feeds was the very first book I read back in 1984 while
I lived in South Africa, I'm going to re-read the entire series once
the story catches up again.

From 1964 to 1991, Wilbur Smith wrote de Courtney's serie (to be red
in the following order) :
- When the lion feeds
- The sound of thunder
- A sparrow falls
- The burning shore
- Power of the sword
- Rage
From 1997 to 1999, WS began to write the story of the ancestor of
Garik and Sean Courtney :
- Birds of pray
- Monsoon
I think there will be some other novels to link "Monsoon" and "When
the lion feeds".

I certainly hope so. I was a bit disappointed when "Warlock" was
published (I have not read it yet), as I had hoped for a continuation
of "Monsoon". I must say I prefer the Courtney books.
Maybe an off topic question, but what happened to Wilbur Smith's wife
Danielle?

Just to give my position in case anyone is wondering why I did not answer
your question myself: I know from experience that often people will pop up
in newgroups and try to start a discussion by asking something that might be
covered by the FAQ if the group has one. In those cases, I prefer to sit
back and hopefully see fellow fans get to know each other, initially by
passing on information that I may have supplied originally (it's not
copywrite, folks: feel free to use it anyway you wish) then perhaps moving
on to other discussions. You cannot really stay on-topic in a Newsgroup
dedicated to an author who only publishes a new book every couple of years.
But if someone pops up anytime and asks a question that I may have covered,
I would rather see someone else answer it here than refer them to the FAQ.

Thanks. I was wondering if the FAQ can be found at a webpage where it
is updated? When searching at Google, I am not always sure if I am
reading the most updated FAQ.

I am not really sure, although I have always freely given permission for
anyone who has or is thinking of setting up a website dedicated to Wilbur to
use any information in the FAQ I post here, which I believe would be the
most up-to-date, mainly due to the information and links I am supplied with
regularly by fans. Probably the best site for news of forthcoming books etc.

The first 'Wilbur I read was Goldmine.
The next time I read it I found it had a reference to Sean Courtney
that I had not noticed the first time round.
I found the Courtney novels excellent. The Ballantynes were also good
as a source of African history.
I too am awaiting the link between Monsoon and the early Courtneys. If
it takes a couple of novels - so be it!
The three 'Nile' novels were good too but quite different.
I can now claim to have read the entire list of 'Wilburs' and listened
to a tape book too (of Eagle in the Sky).
