Talisman (SPOILERS)

Hi,

just started reading Black House. And by now I'm realizing that _maybe_ it
would be a good idea to remember what happened in Talisman... =;-)

I know the story in general, just can't remember the ending... as always.
*sigh*
And I don't have the book here, so I can't reread the last chapters. So
help me out, please:

Jack entered the house, Speedy was on the beach. But Jack wasn't alone,
was he? Who was with him? Wolf? But he disappeared earlier, right? Then
Jack got the Talisman, what happened to Speedy?

Wasn't he shot or hurt just before Jack entered the Hotel? (spoiler for
Black House coming up....Jack encountered a black man laying on a board walk
when he was a cop, and it rattled hime enough that he quit the force and
ran to French(?) Landing).

Wolf died in the Sunshine Home. After that, Jack stopped by the private
school where Richard Sloat was and picked him up, and they went through the
Blasted Lands together, with Richard getting sicker as they went. As a
result, Jack carried him into the Agincourt.

Once they were in the hotel, Jack left Richard covered with a drop cloth in
the diningroom with the green marble/mirror. As he made his way to the
upstairs room holding the Talisman, he kept flipping between worlds, and
fought the phantom knights with the guitar pick/shark's tooth Speedy gave
him.Once he defeated them, an earthquake began, shaking apart the Agincourt.

Jake used the Talisman to heal Richard, and they exited the Hotel to meet
Sloat and Gardener, who tried to kill them.

Sure, Richard! I just couldn't remember who was with Jack at the
Agincourt...

Rational Richard was with him, but in VERY poor shape...

Jack got the talisman after trekking thru the black hotel and defeating the
suits of armor.

Wolf came with a limo and took them back to Jack's mom where Jack healed her
with the talisman.

The point is, Speedy was sick or injured on the beach...I just can't
remember exactly how.
