Did Tommy Ross die? Was Margaret White raped?

Who's Carrie father? Was he and Margaret ever married? Or was she raped and it
resulted in her pregnancy with Carrie?

Also, did Tommy die? Did the bucket kill him when it fell on his head? Did he
burn up in the school?

And only seven people died? The people being electrocuted on the gym floor.
The cars crashing. The town burning. Only seven people out of that not counting
Carrie?

In the book, Tommy did die when the bucket hit him on the head. The NBC
movie picked up on that - he wasn't breathing. Obviously, the ensuing events
interrupted any resuscitation attempts.

Thanks. Did Tommy die in the original movie or was his head cushioned by his
fluffy blonde 'fro?

I don't know. It's been a long time since I've seen the movie - and, then,
it's only been the edited version. I might rent it this weekend just to
compare...
