I have been a prodigy member and it is my experience that they suck. The
service is always going down and they can't run the service effectively
to keep up with lots of people signing on at once. Do not be fooled by
the way they advertise. Walk away from services like this one and go for
Direct Internet providers which are run to handle many more people and I
have never heard of one breaking down.

Heheh. Well, even though it's totally off-topic, I'll just respond to
this thread by saying I've been a Prodigy user for over three years and
have never had any major problems. I've tried all the other online
services, and have come to conclude that Prodigy best suits my needs.

Yes, this is off topic but I couldn't let it pass either. I have been
on AOL (run away, run away!) and went to the ONLY local ISP where I
received horrible service and lines down, server troubles, constant
stories of upgrading the system. Then to another ISP as it sprang up,
same song different verse. I recently jumped to Prodigy and am very
pleased. They have it all, I log onto Prodigy Internet with very little
problem and am directly on Netscape. No "community" or ikky stuff to
sift through to get to newsgroups or mail or surfin.
