HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY, MST3K! -- 11/19/1989!

NOVEMBER 19TH, 1989. A day that will forever live in infamy (or at
least in the annals of Wikipedia). On this date, Mystery Science
Theater 3000 made its nationwide debut on Comedy Central (then known
as the Comedy Channel). For episode 1-01, Joel, Crow and Servo riffed
a horrifyingly bad print of THE 1958 B-rate classic British horror
film The Crawling Eye and rode into comedy history.

WE AT DOGKNOB LABORATORIES have long been big big BIG fans of MST3PO;
we consider Joel, Mike, Larry, Fred, that lil' midget dude with all
the tattoos, the whole gang really, as our spiritual leaders and
advisors, our Perfect Masters... and so it is with great pride that
DogKnob is shamelessly using this milestone in geek history to offer,
only on RiffTrax (Mike N's current site), the first fifteen-PLUS
minutes of our debut VOD, which just HAPPENS to be The Crawling Eye,
presented here under its original British title, The Trollenberg
Terror!

DEEP IN THE ENDLESS UNTRACKED DESERTS OF EGYPT, DogKnob's crack team
of crack-addled experts and extras managed, at great personal risk to
life and lymph, to obtain the highest-quality print of this classic
stinker--and, once we discovered what the actors onscreen were
actually saying, unearthed an all-new treasure trove of gags for your
viewing pleasure!

WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS TWICE as much as we enjoyed making it. It is
our birthday gift to YOU, our Lucky Public... but most important of
all:

FOR 20 YEARS OF LAUGHTER and whimsy and the cheapest special effects
known to modern man, we lay this half-baked offering at the feet of
our personal heroes: To the whole wacky crew over there on the moon or
wherever they are--Joel, Steve, Billy the Moocher and ol' Lucky Jim
(who does the voice of that lil' stuffed kangaroo, don't he?)

WE LOVES YAS, fellas!

May you all LIVE FOREVER!... especially Gummo!

Adoringly,
DogKnob

SOME REVIEWS of DogKnob's FIRST full-length creature-feature!

I SEE YOU and you are great!

"The audio and picture were great... As for the riff, it was
hysterical."

Inspired? Crack Addled? BOTH?!?!

"...this print and the audio on both the riff and the original film
are both SO CRISP AND BEAUTIFUL
it made me realize that the crappy B-rate drek we've all known for
years as "The Crawling Eye" is
actually a pretty damn good film!

“DogKnob does something possibly completely original in their riff and
creates not just a "reactionary"
riff like most of us do, but in fact pretty much creates a second,
"alternative" track to the film...

"In short, DogKnob descends upon the riffing community like a pack of
starving insane feral dogs and
tears a chunk out of your expectancies, creating something unexpected
and intriguing."

"Their pacing and timing was spot on and it's clear a lot of love went
into the project..."
