Had a weird image in my head today from "The Neverending Story", that
the girl-queen in NES had the same name as the protaganist's mother,
right? This reminded me a lot of The Talisman. Though the names of
Jack's mom and the Queen of the Territories were different (I think,
it's been a while), there was a connection b/w a character's mother the
queen of some fabulous realm.
It also seemed that the protaganist of NES and the main character in the
story-within-a-story were twinners.
Anyone have any thoughts who is more familiar with these two stories?
In The Talisman, Jack's mother is Lily Cavanaugh. Her twinner is Queen Laura
Deloessian.

I recently saw a text excerpt of an interview with the boy that played
Atreyu (also played Boxey on Battlestar Galactica). He said that the
one question he was asked most was what Bastian's mother's name had
been, and said the answer was "Moonchild". (or should that be
Moooooooooonnnnnnnnnnchiyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllld)
Even activating the captions on my DVD hadn't been able to reveal that
information.
