To Mr. Person and everyone else whom I may have offended:

I did not know the rules to this newsgroup and I in no way meant to make
anyone disgruntled. I will say, however, that it was quite unfair to
assume that purposely meant to break the rules. I have not seen anyone sell
on this newsgroup, but I have not read it in a while. I have a book to sell
and I wanted to make it know to as many people. This has happened before,
unfortunately, with another newsgroup. However, the moderator of that
newsgroup gave me the benefit of the doubt and kindly offered alternatives.
Are these "rules" available to see at anytime? Does every newsgroup have a
different set of rules? Upon looking in this newsgroup I see that these
rules were posted after I made my announcement.

In the future, the moderator of this (unmoderated?) newsgroup might want to
keep in mind that there are some people out there that are beginners and do
not know everything that there is to know about newsgroup etiquette.

Thank you.

David Cox

Frankly, I do not appreciate this person's posting for a
private profit AND YET, I am glad that he did. At least he
posted something that was on-topic and involved, Heinlein,
at least on some level.
As for castigating him for his efforts, as he claims someone
has, perhaps who ever complained might be kind enough to
post a FAQ for this particular Newsgroup to the Group and to
Mr. David Cox or, simply present an alternative?

It certainly was NOT on topic, or allowed, for rec.collecting.books, one
of the groups he copied it to. Read the Newsgroups line of the original
post. (Non-Heinlein groups shorn for this message.)

RTFM. alt.marketplace.books.sf was mentioned in the NO FS message
e-mailed, as was rec.arts.books.marketplace.
