I was wondering where the controversial opinion was as I was scrolling through your list...and then I saw you had Get a Clue as #1 haha. I think it's awesome you like that theme song so much! It's definitely underrated in my opinion so I'm glad I'm not the only that had it ranked high!

Something about the guy's voice is just really entertaining to me. Like Becker mentioned in his comment, I think most people tend to focus on the song, whereas I feel visually the intro is more interesting than people give it credit for.

16. Get a Clue: Truly dreadful, The Offspring should sue

15. Guess Who: One of the lamest theme songs I've ever heard in my life. A mockery of the original theme

14. Puppy Hour: Yawn

13. The Richie Rich one- This would probably rank ahead of the next one if this was a Richie Rich blog rather than a Scooby Doo blog

12. The New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show: Gets a couple of points because the screaming building is hilarious to me

11. Be Cool Scooby Doo- Not the most interesting instrumental on the list, but not shabby

10. Laff-a-Lympics: Yeah!

9. Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo show: Major props to this one. This theme song made it where we didn't have to have a Scrappy origin episode. That's all I have to say about it

8. 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo- Cooler intro than it is a song, but I like it for what it is

7. The New Scooby Doo Mysteries: Always found this one a tad lower for myself than most people seem to have it, but it definitely fits the very 80s vibe of the show

6. The Scooby Doo Show: Probably my least favorite out of the three main classic themes, but I still like it a lot

5. Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated: Now THIS is how you do an instrumental intro. Such a cool little theme

4. A Pup Named Scooby Doo- Such a fun intro to a fun show. Awesome stuff

3. The New Scooby Doo Movies- The best of the rest beyond the two heavy hitters which are the two above this. This one has also become pretty iconic in the Scooby universe

1 (TIE). Scooby Doo Where Are You and What's New Scooby Doo- Probably the first and only time I will do a tie in a ranking at the top, but I genuinely cannot decide between these two. One is just one of the most classic themes in television history and the other is just a brilliant pop punk track to bring Scooby into the 21st century. They are both the best

16. Lol

15. I'm glad somebody agrees with me on Guess Who. It's truly dreadful and the guy's voice is so annoying.

13. Dang, I really should get moving on that RichieSnax fan site project I've got going lol. (not really though)

12. Glad to see some appreciation for the screaming building haha.

10. I really appreciated your ranking explanation for this lol.

9. See, if it was done well, I wouldn't have minded a Scrappy origin episode. Just as long as it wasn't of the likes of the horror that is "Scrappy's Birthday" haha.

5. Yeah, something about SDMI's intro felt much more Scooby-ish than Be Cool, even without lyrics.

1. I had a really tough time picking between the two as well. I feel like WNSD edges it out a bit just because it was a brilliant idea to make a pop punk Scooby-Doo theme song, but I really appreciate them both.

15. Hahahaha it does sound like a playground taunt! Something about the guy's voice is really insincere and like he's mocking the original singer lol. Interestingly, both the original Where Are You theme and Guess Who are sung by guys named David (David Mook and David Poe).

13. Yeah, the fact that the Richie theme song gets lyrics and actually introduces you to the characters, whereas the Scooby part is instrumental and a bunch of random chaos, definitely feels like the theme was more made for Richie Rich. I wonder if they had the Richie Rich crew make their part of the intro, and the Scooby-Doo people make their part of the intro separately, and then they just put them together? Because yeah, the Richie Rich parts are of much better quality than the Scooby part.

12. #WeStanScreamingBuilding lol

10. Yeah!

9. Nor could most of us haha.

Scooby channeling his inner Sassy Fred with that "Yeah!"

I'm not gonna do a ranking since this isn't really a topic that I'm passionate about. But what I will say is that WNSD is definitely my favorite theme song! That whole intro is fantastic in every single way. It's also penetrated pop culture just as much as the SDWAY one has, which in itself is a monumental achievement.

Other than WNSD, some other theme songs/intros I really like are TSDS, SDWAY, APNSD, TNSDMy (no order), those would make my top 5 probably.

Least favorites would be SDAGW and the Scrappy shorts ones. Shocker.

And finally, I actually agree with you about the S&SDGAC one. The song itself and the way the guy sings it are stupid, but it has a weird charm and is entertaining. The best part though is the whole silhouettes motif, it catches your eye as you keep track of them all. The intro's quite engaging to watch from a visual standpoint. Yeah, pretty overhated, even though the singing itself is strange af. A singer like the APNSD one would've been a much better fit

Just to make sure, that's Casey Kasem singing the TNSDMy theme song, right? There's definitely some Shaggy in that voice. It's one of the better singing performances for the theme songs actually. It's shocking how well a character with a voice like Shaggy can sing, and through numerous voice actors too: Innes, Lillard and technically Kasem since Shaggy is shown in the intro to canonically sing at least some of it.

Hahahaha I love that!

I'm glad people didn't hate the Get a Clue theme song as much as I thought they would. It's weird, but you're so right, despite his in-your-face sounding voice, it just works so well lol. Yeah, visually the intro is pretty fascinating. I kind of appreciate how bad the singer is in the intro; it's almost a "so bad it's good" kind of situation lol.

I think so? It sounds like his vocals are a bit pitched up if that's the case, but it does sound like it could be him. I looked it up and I can't find any official credit for it.

The singing in S&SDGAC is really trash, but it's a fun type of trash.

I think the part that convinces me it's Casey is the "Come on Scooby, where you been?" Where it sounds very Shaggy-like (and the animation also shows Shaggy singing) and after that the singing gets gradually higher and grander which each line. So since it's a slow and steady progression from that initial Shaggy voice I'm pretty sure it is Casey (not including the Scooby x57 in the latter part of the song, that's just a choir).

The best way to describe Get a Clue's theme song IMO is "so bad it's funny." The song itself is catchy enough, but the guy's scream-singing is so in your face and ridiculous lol. It's like he came to work that day after having a fight with his wife that morning and projected all his anger into the song haha. It's just so authentically weird that I can't help but appreciate it lol.

I never really thought about ranking them. WNSD is easilly my favourite. It is the only scooby song i have on my rock playlist along with it's terror time again from zombie island. Solid song and nostalgic too.

SDWAY, TNSDMovies & SDS are also great

BCSD & SDMI are good but i don't give much atention to songs with no lyrics

13GOSD was good

never tought about the others

16) Guess Who - Laaazzy!

15) Puppy Hour - OK but still lazy.

14) Scooby Richie Rich - It's okay. Whatever. Too bad we're not judging the Richie Rich part of the theme.

13)) Scooby and Scrappy Doo (1979) - Good enough. I like Lennie Weinrib's vocals.

12) New Scooby Doo Movies - This theme is passable.

11) Laffalympics - Whatever.

10) 13 Ghosts - Fine

9) New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show - Derivative but very interesting. It gives off unique vibes.

8) Mystery Inc - Good theme.

7) Bee Cool - Suits the show.

6) Pup - Great theme

5) New Scooby Doo Mysteries - Funky!

4) What's New - Very Catchy!

3) Scooby Doo Show - Love it! Particularly the outro.

2) Get a clue - Near perfection.

1) Where Are You - Both versions are phenomenal for different reasons!

Felt like doing a cover of my favorite Scooby-Doo theme for whatever reason. Idk if my singing is all that great here, but I feel like this is the first time I felt pretty happy with how the backup vocals turned out.If you're wondering why there's sound effects in this...I didn't put them there. They were in the instrumental I found. Kinda wish I could've found a version of this instrumental without the sound effects...

The set doesn't contain any special features, but fans have been waiting for The Fugitive to hit DVD for a long, long time, and they'll finally be able to pick up the first set on August 14, making it my pick of the week.

I'm pretty excited for Avatar, since volume 4 will wrap the second season of the series. Loonatics Unleashed season 2 is coming, as well as the 7th volume of A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (great, now I have the theme song stuck in my head), and the 4th volume of Baby Looney Tunes.

The second season of Dynasty is also coming out on August 14th; fans who picked up the first season have been waiting patiently for this set. Horror fans will be eying the two Masters of Horror releases as well.

Of course this isn't the complete list, but you can view the other titles at TVShowsOnDVD.com.

Sorry for the lack of updates here; I was traveling quite a lot in July, and my regular updates suffered. I'm back though, so you're stuck with me for awhile now
