I loved *The Color of Water*. I think James McBride's mother is an
incredible woman. I would love to meet her! I laughed out loud at some of
the things that the siblings did to torture each other. I also liked the
format, where he alternated between himself and his mother's views.
The only part that I did not care for was the ending--I felt that he was
name dropping.
All in all, I would give it a *10*!

I recently read this book and thought it was wonderful. It was one of those
books that kept me thinking...and I like that. This story was touching,
and interesting, and I truly think James McBride is truly blessed to have
such a wonderful mother!!
